Can ladies wear the clothes till knee and pray?

Can ladies wear the clothes till knee and pray or they have covered full body?Can ladies pray showing their elbows?how ladies should pray either full covered or not?

Salaam,

Sister when we pray we are in the presence of Allah subhana talla. So it is of utmost importance that we remember to be modest and bashful in front of our Creator. Thus, we need to be covered up. A knee lenght garment prevents us from performing the prayer. It is not seeming to bow and prostrate in such a garment. Most masjids have outer wear and they can be purchased on line to pray in. I put on such a garment. It takes less than one minute.

A woman should cover all her awrah (weak points) while praying. Elbows and lower leg is considered awrah.

The Muslim woman must cover her entire body when praying, apart from her face, because her whole body is ‘awrah during prayer. According to the hadeeth, “Allaah does not accept the prayer of a woman who is of child-bearing age unless (she is covered) with a khimaar.” The cover must be ample and cover all the body, and it must be loose so that it does not show the shape of the body.

As salam alaikum sis sameera..

like the sister have already said very clearly, u need to be fully covered only showing ur face as we are standing in salah infront of Allah Swt. Alao we should be covered like this when we go out of our homes with clothigns that is not fashionable, tight or short.
