What is I3raab ?

I search for its meaning in English , they said : broke the word down .
But I don't think it's the exact meaning .
We need E3rab very much in Arabic espcially when we use the formal Arabic ( fos'ha " .

For example :
Ahmad went to Masjid = thahaba Ahmadu ela Al masjid
we put " u " or dhammah bcz It's a subject and the subject is always Marfou3 in E3rab .

If you want me to make E3rab for the word " Ahmad " , it'll be like :
فاعل مرفوع و علامة رفعه الضمة الظاهرة على آخرهـ

I think you didnt understand my explaination :shymuslima1:
I hope Ayman can clarify better than me :)

Excellent maShAllah !

I always believe Egyptions are the best in Arabic grammar :lol:

In addition , there is an Ayah : " Innama yakhsha Allaha min ebadihe al olama "
if u say " yakhsha Allahu " it'll be a grave mistake !
bcz the ayah means scientists fear Allah , the second reading means Allah fear them

So we have to learn E3rab in order to aviod syntax mistakes .

In general , the subjest ends with Dammah , the objects with Fat'ha , words after prepostions end with Kas'rah .
it's in general , there are more accents :)

Ahh thats what it is.Its very detailed. I`ll try find out more about it.

If someone says to you : "Kaifa tajidukas Saa3a" . كيف ثجدك
Is that a very formal way of saying "how are you" or more affectionate way of saying it.

It's pronounced as " Kayfa tajeduk "
and yes it's very formal , it's better to say " Kayefa 7aluk ( 4 male ) " OR " Kayfa 7aluki ( 4 female ) "

7 = ح

yes , he asked him : kaifa tajeduka assa3a ? كيف تجدك الساعة ؟
means : how do u feel now ? ( not the exact meaning )
the exact meaning is : how do u find ur self this hour .

an expression means how are u .

Hey Hey sister from Saudi Arabia

What does "Okhiya" and "Ammiya"mean ? . I think the prounounciation has gone terribly wrong too

I saw two people conversing, one called out to his brother "Ya Okhiya". The other one (amiiya) was mentioned by a brother from Syria.

Fatima S.Ar

Okhayeyah = my brother
Akhi = my brother as well
it's a grammar in Arabic called التصغير

Ammiya ? there is a name for males called " Omayah " .
Ammiya and Omaya have one way to write in Arabic
but the pronounciation depends on the accents .

may be that was his name ?
