thinking back on my life, im wondering just how many of the small things idid ,the simple decisions i made have had consequences in my life

i know that our actions have consequences,but does everything in our life however small really have an effect on our life and its developemnt,,

many major changes and problems have happened\in my life in the past few years..and iwonder how maybe these events were inevitable because of effects and consequences of small things in my life...

for example tv....tv has not been censored in our household, my husband watches alot of tv,,,tv was actually censored in our ountry ,but over the years,,,,has bexome more open and tv which was always part of our home continued to be

but im wondering by just acccepting ,,,tv ..we have accpeted certain things that are unacceptable which have affected our life



another example ,,the way we were living in the west before we came here,not in a bad way ,but not as it should be...


does everything we do have consequences in later life..

because iworry now that some things which have happened...are irevocable....and that my life can never change completey to a better islamic way of life

I listen to a lecture once and I liked few things and they were........... we are always looking for the things which are beneficial to us, we make effort and work hard if we are convinced that something’s are valuable and so on..
Our deen also encourages us to make effort for our life to come which is depended upon this life and everything we do is recorded every little thing.. Allah Taala also encourages us to be good and be patient and keep on making effort to overcome our faults...Prophet's :saw2: life is a good example to look into and emirate The companions are like guiding stars to guide us towards that goodness and if we walk towards Allah one step Allah Taala comes running so to speak towards us ...may Allah Taala accepts us all to be successful and remind each other
Our ears are closer to our mouth if we remind other we get reminded and our iman goes high..
Iman goes up or down of a person depending on the enviroment he or she is so be watchful of our IMAN all the time.
Seek the company of good and pious people all the time,,,stay away from bad company...

Dear sister, not only you feel that way, now tv became like a must in every house though we all know that many things that are shown is haram , and un Islamic.........I think about this most of the time , I tried to remove the tv from my house......most of the channels we have are Islamic like peace tv, alreasala ,katas but we have algazeera, alarabia, CNN........etc. Many thing is shown are totally forbidden in islam , I tried my best to correct this situation I couldn't , I thought of leaving home, but I couldn't leave my children , now I am silent .......sometimes my children watch movies not very bad ones but for sure women without higab , sometimes half nacked , I feel true pain in my heart , i feel I am not a good muslema........but all members of my family say I am too strict I am not......... just I want to please Allah subhanahu wa taala.....they don' t like to hear any more. :astag::astag::astag:

THANK YOU SISTER FOR YOUR ANSWER..yes tv is really a problem..but its become so normal here,my husband has always acepted it ,and even among pretty strict people here ,tv is always runnning,iknow very few people atually do not watch,,
yes ifeel sorryfor my boys ,and things they have been exposed to so they grew thinking these things are normal,they know what is right and wrong ,but when you see tihngs again and again it seeps into your consciousness

Let me pen down my views Insha Allah...

You see sister.. "Consequences " This word has a strong connection with our "Knowledge" "Action", and "Decisions" .. Moreover it has an invisible connectivity with "Ghaib-(The Knowledge of Unseen which Allah alone knows of...)"

You are talking about "Consequences " because you are worried that your decisions / life styles are not gonna give you an Islamic life... , right?
No sister.. Dont ever think like that......

The mistakes .. they are the secrets of success.. All what we should do is.. WE MUST TAKE ISLAMIC DECISIONS ALWAYS, INSTEAD OF EMOTIONAL ONES...

You see sister.. let me tell you a simple example...

Lets take the era of Jahilyya....
They were a nation filled with fools, bad behaviors, illiterate, they knew nothing good .. etc...

Did you ever think that WHY did Allah Azzawajal revealed His final Book ON SUCH A BAD COMMUNITY???

A bad community which was facing there bad consequences continuously and always ????

Think sister.... Al Qur'an was able to change a nation which was sooooo bad

Sister, compare your self and your family with the period of Jahl...
ARE YOU BOTH SOUNDING THE SAME???? "No", right???

So what I am trying to tell you is, IF Qur'an was the media which brought GOOD CONSEQUENCES into the world from a society which was uncivilized.. then cant it bring a little change with GOOD CONSEQUENCES in your BLESSED LIFE???

The thing is that.. changes never come to us sister, we our selves have to seek the changes and reach the changes by our selves.... :)

What I want to tell you is, if you want to see good effects on every single small and big thing in your life, you have to have good and correct decisions in all your steps....
In order to have correct decisions, you should have a knowledge of what is good and what is bad..
The one and only media which can help you to distinguish correct from wrong is nothing more than the knowledge of "Al-Qur'an"

So learn it.. You are still not late.. if you take a single step towards Allah Azzawajal, you will Insha Allah see tha wonders and miracles Subhanallah...

And those who strive in Our (Cause)― We will certainly guide them to Our Paths: for verily Allah is with those who do right. (29:69)
