i have a problem about debts and interests

i dont live in the uk,but have a bank acount and access cards there...

unfortunately ihave big amounts outstanding on my cards....
and of course this means im paying interest]

the problem is my son is at university there, and as a foreign student ,its vey expensive and living so expensive compared to here..

my husband is paying for him of course, but there are certian times when my husband can not pay on time ,and he needs to pay fees or rent ,so theyr put on my access card ,and slowly it builds up

sometimes my mother\pays for him ,but she also puts on her card, so in a way even its her debts ,theyre for me ,so does that still count

now it reaches where the money taken from my acccount ,just covers my interest...

my husband is aware of the problem ,but here he runs his own business, so depends on cash payments, he has no loans of any kind here
but iwonder how we will solve this problem ,and by next summer ,my next son will go abroad to study also

It's so hard to avoid having to pay interest on things. All I know that whatever debts that we do have, we have to pay them whether there are interest based or not. Inshallah, a way will be made for you, so that you and your family and all Muslims can one day be free from the bondage of RIBA. Ameen.

dear sister,i understand what you are going through...me and my husband were a prey to credit cards when we were newly married...this credit card ruined us..not to mention the riba we had to pay..asthagfirulah.......alhamdulilah,after coming here,we just stopped owning a credit card and i can see the difference...we have learnt to spend only what we have and have come out of the trap alhamdulilah....

sister,i suggest that if you have some asset that you can sell to close the credit card bills, please do it...that's what i did...i got so fed up of this trap that i decided to sell some of my jewellery ;and my husband spend a lot of his money too and just closed it..alhamdulilah...we don't bother to own a credit card now...but we still do have a small loan...and are paying interest...in sha Allah,it'll be over within a few months...

our world is truly in a sad state...we have so many banks and so many schemes in buying commodities, credit cards etc that we unknowingly pay riba..may Allah help us from falling into shaytan's trap..

sister, what worries me now is that the company in which my husband is working has taken a loan from a bank..he says many organizations work that way...

you said you pay sometimes....i suggest may be you could ask your husband to pay later when he has money so that your amount doesn't pile up...like if he's not able to pay on time this month, you can pay for it and then when he has money, you can ask him to give you money so that your bill doesn't pile up..it's always best to purify our money from riba..

it's really kind of your mother to pay for her grandson..masha'Allah..a mother's love...
sister, you really have to think..as you have one more son to do abroad insha'Allah..is this affordable for you...

may Allah forgive me if i have said something wrong..
and Allah knows best..
