assalam alaykum and eid mubarak

Well today all my family went to the mosque, But me i decided not to go being that EVERY YEAR i bump into a MAN,asfuallah here in my mosque it small and they have ONE entrance so i believe it purer for my heart to stay home i feel it better for me. I understand the hadith when the prophet (saw) said that dont prevent women from praying in the mosque" i understand that, i also know that umar stop women after the death of the prophet because it had changed and the mixing accured more. And the women complain and went to aisha and aisha (ra) said that if the prophet was here he would have done the same. i argree with umar it make sense because the women that come to the mosque put half a gallon of perfome on before they leave i see all they come with BRIGHT hijabs that Only Covers there neck. i think it is purer for both hearts, however allah know that which i dont inshallah may allah forgive if i am wrong or i am speard falsehood indeed that wasnt my intention wallahi i just felt as a muslim women to tell those who feel the same and agree. EVERY YEAR seeing women putting make up with a hijab i think it really dont make sense, MY sis wear eye liner i told why to make them seem beautiful then she responsed aisha(RA) put it on i dont know if this is true however she wore a viel that covered her,

forgive me if i am wrong i am still research it forgive me assalamu alaykum:hijabi:

EID MOBARAK

Is it better for woman to go out to the Eid prayers or to stay at home?

Question:
I know that it is better for women to pray at home, but my question has to do with the Eid prayer. Is it better for women to go out to the Eid prayer or to stay at home?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

It is better for women to go out to the Eid prayer. This was enjoined by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

Al-Bukhaari (324) and Muslim (890) narrated that Umm ‘Atiyyah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) commanded us to bring them (women) out on (Eid) al-Fitr and (Eid) al-Adha, and to bring out adolescent girls, menstruating women and virgins, but the menstruating women were to stay away from the prayer, but were to witness goodness and the gathering of the Muslims. I said: “O Messenger of Allaah, what if one of us does not have a jilbaab?” He said: “Let her sister lend her a jilbab.”

Al-Haafiz said:

This shows that it is mustahabb for women to come out and attend the Eid prayers, whether they are young or not.

Al-Shawkaani said:

This and similar hadeeths indicate that it is prescribed in sharee’ah for women to come out to the prayer-place, with no differentiation between virgins and non-virgins, young or old, menstruating or otherwise, so long as they are not going through ‘iddah (following divorce or death of their husband) or their coming out will be a cause of fitnah or they have an excuse.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen was asked: what is better for a woman, to come out to the Eid prayer or to stay at home?

He replied:

It is better for them to go out to Eid prayer, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) enjoined that the women go out to the Eid prayer, even the adolescent girls and virgins – i.e., women who do not ordinarily go out. He commanded them to go out, and he told the menstruating women to go out but to keep away from the prayer-place. So menstruating women should go out with other women for Eid, but they should not enter the place where the Eid prayer is offered, because the Eid prayer-place is a mosque and it is not permissible for a menstruating woman to stay there, but it is permissible for her to pass through or to take something she needs from it, without staying there. Based on this we say: women are commanded to go out to the Eid prayer and join the men in this prayer, because of the goodness, dhikr and du’aa’ they may experience there.

Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, 16/210.

He also said:

But they must go out looking decent, not wearing adornment, makeup or perfume, so that they may combine following the Sunnah with avoiding fitnah.

What some women do of wearing adornment, makeup and perfume is because of their ignorance and negligence on the part of their guardians. This does not cancel out the general shar’i ruling, which is that women are commanded to go out to the Eid prayer.

personally, i feel that prayer is for everyone.. men arent any better than women.

ok, from a scholarly or the "right" point of view, women should wear make up or perfume or whatever to go to the mosque.

but from a HUMAN(subceptible to make mistakes) point of view, i think that as long as the women dont over do it, it is fine..

these are MY views. i am no religious scholar or anyhting.just my opinion. jus like these women, i too am human n my views may b flawed too.

also, u not gg mosque is ur loss not those women.

Salaam,

Sister, there are many of us who go to the masjid to be in the fellowship of Muslims. We have little opportuinity to be with our brothers and sisters. We go faithfully to reunite and strenghten our faith. Only Allah subhana talla knows the true intentions of our hearts. Let us not point fingers and judge what others are wearing or smelling like.
Let it be sufficient that I go to pray in the house of Allah with Muslims. Last week I was blessed. As I was performing my salat I noticed a little hand mimiking all my movements. A little face almost reached my nose to get a closer look as I was reciting my prayers. A tear almost fell down my face. Allah subhana talla placed innocence next to me and this child was following my movements. That is a reward of Allah subhana talla. It was worth more than a million dollars.
So go..you do not know in how many ways your presence strenghtens the faith of others.

Regarding wearing Kohl ''eye liner'':
Question:

Assalaamu Alikom
I was wondering what is the ruling on wearing kohl. I know this is disputed among certain shiyoukh and I'm wondering under what bases to they object to it or say it's not haram. I just want to know your opinion on that matter. Thanks for your time. Asslaamu Alikom

Assalamualaykum,
If you look at the tafseer of the ayah in Surah Noor, "Qul-lil-Mu'minati....." up to "Illa-maa zahara minha",

(meaning the women should not reveal of their beauty anything, except that which is already apparent) is the hands and face.

However, Imam Tabaree in his Jami lists a few opinions as to what this means:
1. Ibn Masud RA says it means clothes only.
2. Ibn Jubair says clothes and face.
3. Ataa, Auwzai and another riwayat from Ibn Jubair says, hands, face and clothes.
4. This may answer your question, Ibn Abbas, Qatada, and Miswar ibn Makhramah say that the use of Kohl, jewellery, hinna etc is included in "illa maa zahara minha", so according to their opinion, it would be permissible to use Kohl.

However, my humble opinion is that any form of beautification can lead to fitnah, it is better to avoid it.
Wassalaam

Well, now it's gone but what you could do in the future is inshallah to wait a bit for the men to go, although they always take ages it might be a better solution than to stop going to the masjiid altoghether.
