Asalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh dear sister, Of course you can make ablution in the bathroom, But just make sure there is no Najis (impurity/impure). For instance sometimes if there are kids around the house it is very difficult to keep up with their chores/cleaning.

Not necessarly. You can do ablution in a bathroom with a toilet if there are no other alternatives. Allahu Alum.
