DREAM ABOUT PROPHET

Hard Rock Moslem

I'm your brother
One brother had a very special dream, he was in the Prophet's (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) wedding with mother of believers Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her). Unfortunately, he did not seen the Prophet (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) and did not seen Ummul Mu'minin Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her). In the dream, 'the sahaba who had gathered for the wedding' told him that the Prophet (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) has arrived but he can't see, same thing when was told Ummul Mu'minin was there but still can't see her. But he knows it was the Prophet's (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) wedding.

I want to ask this, is the this dream was the work of shyaitaan?

That dream seems to me a great one but i can't tell you wether it is a shaitaan's work. I won't guess in either way. I do wish to see prophet Muhammad sallah alayhi wasalam in my dream. It would be so awesome. Anyway sorry that i can't answer your question. I hope someone knows.:)

Well it depends he needs to be more detailed if u see what he or she thinks is the prophet's(peace be upon him) body but can't see his face then it is saitans work. It is what I learned from my parents. You also need details about yourself such as did u have long hair was their water around and if their was was it dirty or clear water. Details also if you see animals tell what animal they are and what skin color they have. I can not garuntee what i am saying but that is what i learned so far cause i am only 13 and I am asking Allah to give all the muslims the knowledge they need to succeed in life inshallah. AMEEN

Praise be to Allaah.

We will quote below a number of ahaadeeth which describe the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). If what you in your dream is in accordance with this, then you did indeed see the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), because he said: "Whoever sees me in a dream has really seen me, because Shaytaan cannot appear in my image." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 5729).

Rabee'ah ibn Abi 'Abd al-Rahmaan said: "I heard Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) describing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He said: 'He was of average height, not too tall and not too short, with a pinkish colour, not very white and not dark, and his hair was neither very curly nor very straight. The Revelation came to him when he was forty years old, and he stayed in Makkah for ten years after the Revelation came, then in Madeenah for ten years. When he died, there were no more than twenty white hairs on his head and in his beard." (al-Bukhaari, 3283).

Al-Baraa' ibn 'Aazib said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was broad shouldered and had thick hair coming down to his shoulders and earlobes. He was wearing red garments. I have never seen anything more beautiful than him." (Reported by Muslim, Kitaab al-Fadaa'il, Baab Sifat Sha'r al-Nabi (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), no. 2338).

'Ali said: "He was neither tall nor short, and had large hands and feet. He had a large head and was big-boned, and the thin line of hair (starting from his chest and extending to the navel) was long. When he walked, he would lean forward, as if he was walking downhill. I have never seen anyone like him, before or since." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 3570, who said this is a saheeh hasan hadeeth).

Jaabir ibn Samurah said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was dalee' al-fam, ashkal al-'ayn and manhoos al-'aqib." Shu'bah said: "I asked Maalik, 'What is dalee' al-fam?' He said: 'Wide-mouthed.' I asked, 'What is ashkal al-'ayn?' He said, 'Big-eyed.' I asked, 'What is manhoos al-'aqib?' He said, 'His heels were not fleshy.'" (Saheeh Muslim, Kitaab al-Fadaa'il, 2339).

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said:

We have narrated it with a complete isnaad from Ismaa’eel ibn Ishaaq al-Qaadi from Sulaymaan ibn Harb – who was one of the shaykhs of al-Bukhaari – from Hammaad ibn Zayd from Ayyoob who said: If a man told Muhammad (meaning Ibn Sireen) that he had seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) [in a dream], he would say, “Describe to me the one whom you saw.” If he gave a description that he did not recognize, he would say, “You did not see him.” Its isnaad is saheeh, and I have found another report which corroborates it. Al-Haakim narrated via ‘Aasim ibn Kulayb (who said), my father told me: I said to Ibn ‘Abbaas, “I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in a dream.” He said, “Describe him to me.” He said, “I mentioned al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali and said that he looked like him.” He said, “You did indeed see him.” Its isnaad is jayyid.

Fath al-Baari, 12/383, 384.

With regard to those who say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) may appear in all forms [in dreams], quoting as evidence the report narrated by Ibn Abi ‘Aasim from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever sees me in a dream has indeed seen me, for I may be shown in all forms” – this hadeeth is da’eef (weak).

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said:

Its isnaad includes Saalih the freed slave of al-Taw’amah, who is da’eef (weak) who became confused (in old age), and this is a report from someone who heard it after he became confused.

Fath al-Baari, 12/384.

Thank you brothers and sisters for you reply. To tell the truth, I'm the one who had that dream. Honestly I did not see the Prophet (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) and Ummul Mu'minin Sawda (May Allah be merciful with her) but the atmosphere when both of them arrived was something like when a VVIP arrived.

But looking at those hadith it is apparent that I must have seen him otherwise it could be the shyaitaan work.

Perhaps this is another play of shyaitaan laknatullah. Very sad, I did not see him.

Assalamu Allaicomu dear brother

Mashallah your dream is beautiful SubhanAllah.

In my opinion dear brother it may be and it may be not work of Shatyan becasue if you saw Prophet s.a.w.s in your dream that can not be nothing wrong but good Mashallah.I do not think that so beautiful dream can come from shaytan but Allahu Alaam, and Allah knows the best.

Once my beloved father had a dream in which he saw beloved Prophet Mohammed s.a.w.s and hazrat Fatima. After he was intrepreting his dream we have realised that it was very beautiful SubahnAllah, and we did not thoght that it was from Shaytan.

May Allah bless you :tti_sister::tti_sister:

I hope so sister Asja. It is everybody's fantasy to see the Prophet (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him). When reading your reply my eyes soaked with tears. My little heart telling me (I seek protection with Allah from shyaitaan) that my dream was true. I can recognise no one there (let's assume they are the sahaba) but everyone there confirmed to me it is the Prophet and his beloved wife Sawda but when a turned my face to see the Prophet and his wife but I missed, there are walls on the right so the Prophet and his wife were hidden behind this wall so I can't see.

Allah knows best. Hope one day Allah will grant all of us a chance to see our Prophet in jannah. InshAllah.
