My husband called yesterday with news of his father. He has been in and out of the hospital for well over a year now and has had surgery performed on his (not quite sure) colon/kidney area. They had to put a bag on the outside of his body to replace that which they had operated on. He has diabetes and has been unable to heal. He has honestly given up on life. A situation like his could probably be corrected and he could be healed here in the US easily....but there it has been so difficult for him. He has stopped eating and is just withering away. I told my husband to confront his father and say to him that he has to fight and want the will to live or else he could be committing suicide, which is haraam. Something needs to insight him to fight. But he is back in the hospital and in and out of consciousness. The doctors say that there is nothing more they can do, it is between he and Allah's hands. Please make du'aa for him and the family. Lift them up in your prayers and that God will either ease his suffering as he passes and give the family strength to handle his passing OR that he will find in his sole the strength and faith in God will heal him.
