Fasting 6 days of Shawwal is like fasting for a lifetime!
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.” [Muslim]
SubhanAllah how can any of us miss such a valuable opportunity when we will be begging each other for a single good deed on the day of Judgement!
It is even more rewarding to observe the 6 fasts on Sunnah fasting days such as Monday & Thursdays & the White days (13th, 14th & 15th of each Islamic month).
The White days for Shawwal 2017 are: 13th Shawwal - Friday 7th July; 14th Shawwal - Saturday 8th July; 15th Shawwal - Sunday 9th July.
The 6 fasts can be spread out throughout the month of Shawwal inshaAllah.
