Assalamu alikum dear brothers and sisters!
There is a hadith, unfortunately, i could not locate its source, but I read it from a small collection of Hadith booklet called Zaadut-talibeen. I hope someone will locate its source.
I will try my best to translate it as accurately as possible:
"Thalasun man kunna feehe wajada behenna halawatal eeman
man kaanallahu wa rasooluhu ahabba ilaihe memma sewahuma
wa man ahabba abdan la yuhibbuhu illa lellahe
wa man yakrahu an yaooda fel kufre bada an anqazahullah
kamaa yakrahu an yulqa fennare"
Translation:
There are three things if anyone has it will perceive (discover) the flavour of faith (eeman)
the one to whom Allah swt and his messenger are dearest than everything else
and the one who loves a fellow being for no other reason than for the cause (sake) of Allah swt
and the one who abhores to return to disbelief after Allah swt has rescued him, as much as he abhores to be thrown into fire.
Wassalmu alaikum
