Foods made in Muslim Countries are halal ?

Currently I live in Singapore,not a Muslim country but very accommodating,halal foods are easy to find here Al Hamdulilah.The way you know its Halal if there's the Halal certificate on the Label of the product you want to buy.But not all will have this certificate.Some chocolates will not have this but it would state where it was manufactured.Some are from Malaysia and some are from Arab countries.Like now I have a kit kat thats made in the UAE with some arabic on the back of the cover.Does that mean this kit kat is Halal to eat, I sure hope so. Are foods made in Muslims countries means they are halal to eat ?

Also just curious Is natural Vanilla flavouring halal ? How about Vanillin ?

Chocolate is not meat and alcohol, so there's no need for it to have a "Halal Certificate".

Dear brother " Idris", is this a question or a statement? If it is a statment, chocolate is not a meat and alcohol of course, but it can contain Haram meat( swine meat) or alcohol.So chocolate, must have " Halal Certificate " as well.

Asalam Alaykum no that does not mean its halal. I live in Saudi Arabia and why a lot of things are halal many are not such as candies and other things imported from other places. No straight pork is allowed or anything like that but things with gelatin are here and who knows if it is pork or not? They do not sell the vanilla here with alcohol we have vanilla powder to use is place. Most of our candies come the UAE as well and I am pretty sure all that is halal Allah alim. I have been to Malaysia and Indonesia and I like the halal stamps however we do not have those in the Gulf since they like to thing everything is halal.

Brother, Islam says that as long as you don't have complete total proof that something is Haram, it is considered Halal. As long as you read the ingredients and don't see any harm in it, it should be okay. However if you have doubt you can always email the company of the product and ask them.

As for your kitkat, a normal Kitkat from USA for example is Halal and doesn't contain any odd ingredients. So that Kitkat from UAE *should* be okay as well. For items that are imported, you can still check if they have the "K" or "UD" sign on them because those would be halal.

Okay after doing research I have come to the conclusion that there is alcohol free vanilla extract, and apparently vanilla extract that has had some kind of contact with ethyl alcohol. But I think this subject requires more chemistry knowledge than I have.

I honestly follow this. I do try to stay away from things where I know gelatin is used because I dont want to use a pork derived gelatin. But in general, when it comes to like the vanilla conflict.......It seems so hard to know because I just looked at the imitation vanilla bottle in my kitchen and it just says "artificial flavoring" Whos to know whats in that? Could be harmless, could have squirrel blood for all I know.

But in general, I think in terms of Islamic issues, imitation vanilla ranks low on my scale.

Goodies/Kit kat that had Arabic words doesn't always mean it came from Arab country
otherwise stated,
Chocolates that came from Australian and New zealand,Thailand,Indonesia
even Malaysia are halal certified from the halal association of that respected country.

My advice ;
1)Read and understand the ingredients well ,

2)Look for the Halal certificate on the Label of the product ,

3)If you still in doubt ask the saleperson if its suitable for muslims to consume
or
4)If you still have doubt don't consume,
choose another brand or that came from other country that certified halal.

I understand there's wide varieties of candies/chocolates that certified halal to eat nowadays
the world
awareness of what proper for muslims to consumed had always been top piriority~Alhamdulillah!

Vanillin.

Vanillin has already been the past topic, of most forum, if you go search many muslims consumer
had questioned regarding this product.
Distributors and manufactures had already understand what they should cater for muslims on vanillin/la
and they came to the conclusion that;

1)You can see some essence of Vanillin contained alcohol
but there's already in top supermarket
vanillin that already came too in Halal certificate on the Label of the product.

So muslims you need not worry, Bcoz vanillin did came in halal certification too that's alcohol free.
The smell will not be as strong that with alcohol,
which mean; for instant if your recipe required for 1 teaspoon use a tblspn of vanillin/la ~ just double the amount.

There's no need to say inshaAllah when you make dua while mentioning the name of Allah.

10. He should be firm in his du’aa’, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No one of you should say, ‘O Allaah, forgive me if You wish, O Allaah, have mercy on me if You wish’; he should be firm in his asking, for Allaah cannot be compelled.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6339; Muslim, 2679.

You can look at it from a relative perspective. That is, there are many other serious things in the world concerning the Ummah. It's good to be diligent, but when it consumes you to the point where you aren't thinking about other important things, then maybe it isn't worth it. The best way to stay out of a gray area is to avoid it. You don't need to have a halal/haram debate about XYZ if you never eat XYZ, right? :)

This is not being rude, this is love for him, he should stop ask so many questions all the time, he should buy islamic books from authentic sources. Islam!!yay is learning now, he has edited the word "inshaAllah" from his post.
