lol, yeah, it happened to me couple of times... i think my reason was that i didn't really like the material and didn't want to spend the time on it so i "lied" to myself "unintentionally" and felt ready for the test... this is my experience... take it easy sister, what you took is just a class test, nothing to get frustrated about (even we actually do)...may Allah make easy for you...ameen

lol it wasnt a class test, i have to pay £90 for every exam i take and im doing a home study course but i know that Allah is testing me coz He says that He tests us with the things we love and i love to pass! Im not angry or anything just tired of it all and tired of my family having a go at me when I know it's not my fault. tired of having to re-learn my work which makes it awfully tedious. maybe i'd be third time lucky, who knows?

It's just if ive heard that other people have gone through the same thing whether its exams or just something theyve been trying to achieve in life and worked hard for it and have finally succeeded, then this gives me a motivational boost and gives me more faith than what i have presently. :( thats why i started this thread.

so come on people i need to hear your words of wisdom!

lol, hey what you trying to say, your exam is more important than my class examS, if i failed the class i would have to attend classes not only retake the exams....JUST KIDDING :SMILY61:

check this thread....

lol, what i used to do when i find out that i ("lied to myself") failed an exam, I GO TO SLEEP  ...and when i wake up I try to learn more about my religion since i see more profit in it and try not to fail this test, this life test... cheer up sister, we only get what we were supposed to get...

you asked if anyone went through something similar... i would guess that you can come out with something similar of your own.... for example, i wanted to get married when i was 14 :SMILY149: ... now imagine, if i did, my father would have more kids (me, my kidy wife, and our kids) than he actually have... :SMILY128: that was me when i was 14... ... well i want to say just kidding, but can't :SMILY346:

ohh, you asked for something that was successful... my 14 yrs old goal was not successful :SMILY288:... alhamdulilah, i finished my bachelors of science degree from a competitive university... my goal now: back to my 14 yrs old goal...:) ... patiences is the key to about everything "ina Laha ma shabirin"

when you feel depressed and frustated ,alwaz remember Allah.ask help from Him because there is none other than Him to bestow you Blessings. May Allah bless you -Aameen
Allaah knows the best!

There are many duas that you can recite during depression, sorrow and anxiety etc:

Allahumma innee a`udhu bika mina al-hamm wal hazan wa a`udhu bika
mina al-`ajzi wa al-kasal wa al-jubun wa al-bukhl wa ghalabati al-dayni wa
qahri al-rrijaal (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry, depression, helplessness,
sloth, cowardice, niggardliness, and the burden of debts and domineering men.)

innahu laa yaghfiru al-dhunuba illaa anta (O Allah, You are my Lord, there is
no other god but You; You have created me, I am Your servant; I stand by Your
covenant with me according to the best of my ability; I seek refuge and protection
in You from my evil deeds; I acknowledge Your favors upon me and I confess my
sins before You; so forgive me, for no one can forgive sins but You).

Rabbi innee a`udhu bika min hamazaati al-shshayaateeni wa a`udhu bika rabbi
an yahdhuruni (my Lord, I seek refuge and protection in You from the whisperings
of devils; I seek refuge and protection in You from their presence around me).

Allahumma innee a`udhu bika minmaa ajidu wa uhaadhiru (O Allah, I seek refuge
and protection in You from what I feel and fear from).

Laa ilaaha illa Allahu al-`azeemu al-haleem, laa ilaaha illa Allahu rabbu
al-`arshi al-`azeem, laa ilaaha illa Allahu rabbu al-ssamaawaati wa al-ardi wa
rabbu al-`arshi al-kareem (There is no god but Allah, the Great, the Clement; there
is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne; there is no god but Allah, Lord of
the heavens and earth and the Lord of the Noble Throne).

"Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi subhan; Allahi al-`azheem"
(glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him; glory be to Allah the Glorious).

"Subhan Allah wa bi hamdihi `adada khalqihi, wa ridha'a nafsihi,
wa zinata `arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi"
(glory be to Allah and praise be to Him in a manner that befits the [infinite]
number of His creation, and as it pleases Him, and as it befits the true weight
of His throne as well as His infinite knowledge).

Furthermore, condition yourself to read the following du`aa' on a regular
basis as they have been prescribed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be
upon him) for repelling anxieties and gaining serenity and peace. You are
best advised to read them an odd number of times (preferably three) in the
mornings as well as at night prior to retiring to bed:

La ilaha illa Allahu al-`azheem al-haleem; la ilaha illa Allahu, rabbu al-`
arshi al-`azheem, la ilaha illa Allahu, rabbu as-samawati wa al-ardi wa rabbu al-`arshi al-kareem (There is no god but Allah, the Glorious, the Clement; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the mighty throne; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, and Lord of the noble throne).

Allahumma inni (if you are male say: `abduka wa ibn `abdika ibn amatika;
if you are female say: amatuka wa bintu `abdika wa bintu amatika), nasiyati bi yadika madin fiyya hukmuka `adlun fiyya qada’uka as’aluka bi kulli ismin huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anzaltahu fi kitabika aw `allamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw ista’tharta bihi fi `ilm al-ghaybi `indaka an taj`ala al-Qur’ana rabi`a qalbi wa nura basari wa jila’a huzni wa dhahaba hammi (O Allah, I am Your servant, son/daughter of Your servant, my forelock is under Your firm grips, Your decree in my case is sure to be realized, and Your judgment is just. I ask of You by invoking every single name that You possess, with which You have called Yourself, or You have revealed in Your scripture or You have instructed any of Your creation or You have kept hidden with Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen realities to make the Qur’an the spring of my hearts, light of my eyes, and dispeller of my grief and remover of my anxieties).

Ya hayyu ya qayyumu bi rahmatika astaghithu (O the Ever-Living, the
Eternal Source of all beings! I beseech Your mercy and assistance).

your sister.

Salaam,

It took me ten years to get my bachelor's degrees. This may not seem like such a big deal but it was to me, especially since I wanted to attend medical school. When I first began college I was diagnosed with leukemia and had to constantly withdraw from classes due to illness from the chemotherapy.
The school stated I would get an "NP" or non punative on my transcript and thus it wouldn't reflect poorly on me.

However most of the other colleges do not recogize an "NP" so when I transferred to a University they converted into Fs. Getting a C on your transcript is bad enough when applying to medical school but an F is the kiss of death. I applied to 6 American medical schools and was turned down by every.single.one.

Finally I applied to a Caribbean medical school that provides sponsership for sitting for the US liscensing exam and here I am about to take the test after completing my basic sciences. My motto? Don't give up, even when the clouds seem to go on for miles...the sun eventually will shine through.

Wasalaam

salam. Ive been in your situation a few times, basically you need to step back from the situation and review your exam strategy. Becaause if you failed despise having done revision it means you revision strategy was flawed and needs to be reviewed and changed so you perform better in future exams.

i do past papers, i do spidergrams, i note take, i memorise, i stick notes on the wall, and i remember most of it and understand it. honest i couldnt do revision any better and i didnt usually have problems with exams until this exam and this exam isnt THAT hard. its hard but once u understand the info its ok. i think its because the pass mark is 70/100 and the 1st time i took the exam i got 61, im waiting for my mark for the resit but my provisional grade was a fail and im sure i was just a few marks away, but i get my mark next week.

its just because the pass mark is quite high and also it's the will of Allah isnt it? im very sure its not my exam technique or revision technique. its a multiple choice exam anyway so there is no exam technique just a right/wrong answer. thanx for ur help anyway!
