sister @Tabassum07 its not pure Urdu...its more of a sub-continent version of Urdu...so anyone from sub-continent can understand i think..
brother Urdu and Hindi are completely two different languages...Urdu is more of a mixture of languages dominantly Arabic, Persian and Turkish...Urdu is national language of Pakistan and Hindi is national language of India...Isn't Urdu just Hindi but with a different script?
Walaikum Salam Wr Wb Sister...
Sister @Seeking Peace, actually spoken Urdu and Hindi are very similar if you don't use the higher-level words. You could speak many simple sentences which both Hindi speakers and Urdu speakers would understand.
You understand Urdu, Mahzala? I didn't know you could understand it fluently.

.....so, do we get a translation or not?
Jazaakillahu khayraa, (you too aunty Mahzala!) I didn't go too far ukhty. What had happened was... I was diagnosed with TTI-addiction, so I went away to seek treatment for it, and I had participated in many TTIA meetings (turntoislam-Anonymous aka my own version of AA meets). I've been clean for almost a month now, it's getting easier day by day.Welcome back, Janaan. Where did you go?
Ah I see what @Mahzala meant... there were one or two lists in there somewhere but you're only giving me three short sentences? Lol I'm *never* asking for translation again.A translation wouldn't be much help because he's basically saying "Ya Allah, save me from vegetables and give me meat dishes. Give me fruit juices. Save me from oil sweets and give me ones made in ghee." That's the entire gist of it.
