My name is Jon. I'm new to all of this, just trying to learn what I can about Islam day by day. I live in Austin TX, and I hope to try and visit one of the mosques here when I feel comfortable enough to go.

I am a lurker when it comes to forums so I will probably not be posting much so much as reading, but I wanted to introduce myself nonetheless

Welcome to TII. I'm the 'resident' non-Muslim here but I too came to learn the truth about Islam and Muslims. Inshallah you will learn what you are looking for. May I suggest you read the "new members" informations/posting rules addressing another gender posts. They are informative and will be a useful guide to this forum.

May God guide you to the truth. If you believe in the One God (I am not trying to point to any religion but just the fact that if you purely Believe that Only One God exists and none equals him), ask Him to guide you to the truth. Trust me you will, eventually find the truth. And the brothers and sisters here are very nice and helpful :mashallah: and very Knowledgeable as well. We will all try our best to help you out with your questions, inquiries and doubts. And again we all are humans and we will make mistakes, so I hope you will overlook them and receive the truth unbiased. You may want to have a look at this E-book called Islam is...
