Hello everyone, peace be apon you.
Happy Ramadan to all celebrating!!
About me: I'm 26, live in Monroe, Michigan, and I am just looking to get to heave. I was raised in a non practicing Baptize family. Yes, my grandmother would take me to church once in a while but nothing more than this. One year ago I started working where the majority are Muslim and I have been asking question ever since, some can be answered by only God himself. I find its hard to follow my heart into Islam. Why, because my whole family are true believers in the old and new testament, because I worry about working and being able to prey, wearing the hajb, drinking beer and smoking cigarettes, what family and friend think, about my children's friends parents not letting their children come over and play, and to think everyone I have loved and do love are going anywhere else but heave is a hard thought. As you can see I'm very confused and just looking for guidance. Thanks Sheree

To sin is not in human nature. I believe even the hardest of criminals will feel some uneasiness in his mind after commiting a crime. Islam forbids all kinds of sins that disturb ones mental peace. that may be one reason the word islam means peace. The purpose of religion and messengers of God is to discourage men from commiting sin..So it can not be logical that God take a human form, come to earth, get crucified to redeem humanity from its sin. Then men are not going to be punished for their sins..as the God himself accepted punishment for the sin of men. Confusion is bound to take place in a freethinking mind, when compelled to follow fake scriptures and beliefs, that is natural and a blessing in disguise that may eventually drives one towards the truth..If Allah wills to give His slave hidaya...May god show u the true path

Welcome to the family. Yes, the dunya is difficult. Often, when I return from work after spending time with those who do not believe I am drained. However, what helps is to offer salat. I then call a Muslim. I talk to a Muslim. I conncect with my family of Islam and know that everything will be fine. I can feel you. Do not take it to heart that we are seen as different. We are different. As you pull away from the duyna, believe and know, Allah subhana talla will fill your life with Muslims. What you are going through is temporariy. Islam rectifies what was corrupted in the Bible. Read the Quran to strenghten your faith. And know you can write to TTI all the time.
