Help and suggestions needed!!

I am tutoring my bro and sis on Quran Hifz for some months now, and I need an assuring way I can test them of what they have already learned.I need suggestions on how to improve and strongly maintain what they already know.Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. and may Allah be pleased by our tiny efforts.

1.do not proceed with new surah till they have reallu revised all the surahs that they have memorised.

2.do not start memorising till u make sure their tajweed are correct..

3.everytime u make them recite new surah..let them recite the previous
one so that they do not forget it...

4.each time recite at least once the surahs that have been memorised before proceeding to new surah..

what i can say that not listed above (revert2007-good job sis) is that- well, if they're just kids- play a game. do they know some of the transilations? quiz them every once in a while. they can say it b4 they go to bed. I surat at the bed every night. cause the Phropet was known for saying" Neglected Qur'an in the heart escapes faster than a camel that is untied"
