How a person looks (attractiveness)

Asalam brothers and sisters

Today at the masjid a very disturbing conversation popped up which never got ended. i wonderd if any one could do that for me here.

it started with the following " looks do matter in islam otherwise human nature wouldnt pick the more beautul creature, person given the choice between the two"

this kindve upset me simply because a single person cannot help how they are. god created them that way. perfectly. and being judged by others deemed " ugly or beautiful" what gives any person the right. but the masjid seemed to be certain. looks do matter.

Any 1 to advise.

Waslam and jazakallah for reading

Would you ever marry someone who you found completely physically unattractive? Everyone has personal preferences of what they find physically attractive. That doesn't mean everyone else is ugly, it just means you're not attracted to them. Its natural. Maybe thats what they were trying to say?

Looks aren't the most important thing, but humans are still sexual creatures at the end of the day. That doesn't mean you need to look like a super model, and that doesn't mean you should judge people based on their looks if its something they can't help.

in short, looks are important but they shud NOT be a priority over Taqwa.
nation and race also shud NOT be preferred over Taqwa..

Seeking Allah's Love
Assalamu alaikum. There are a lot of hadeeth that say about how Rasulullah (peace be upon him) took care of his look. He did it in the modest way but he did tell us to be clean, wear clean clothes, smell good, take care of our hair, and so on....

Taqwa is above everything. Who knows those who looked messy and poor and dearer in the sight of Allah.

beauty/attractiveness lies in the eyes of the beholder. why do people forget that? Im certain, somebody out of 6 billion + will find you attractive.
Besides those who matter dont mind blah balah. oh and yeah beauty matters a great deal so the conclusion is correct.

"this kindve upset me simply because a single person cannot help how they are. god created them that way."

that's a horrible way of looking at things. beauty matters but what matters most is your attitude to life. be happy and giving, some people will return the favor (gud guys) others wont (bad guys). nobody can really do anything except what Allah has willed. did you see the two girls born with their head physically one?
