i dont see any sign of that in her name or her post.

whats wrong with speaking the truth?- is it the fear of being labelled anti-semitic?

I just don't believe anything til I see some proof. Any proof. If you have that, great. At this point, it's your opinion and not fact.

And, yes, anti-Jewish rants and "America is the devil" type discussions are, in fact, exactly what anti-Muslim people expect and exploit to their advantage. If I said "All muslims hate Americans and hate Jews." Would that be right? I have no proof of that. I don't know every Muslim, nor do I make assumptions about people and situations I know nothing about.

If having a Muslim name is a requirement to be Muslim, it'll never happen. There's nothing wrong with my name (it means "strong" by the way). If one has to state in a post that they are Muslim or make it completely clear, then there are a lot of people who are lacking here (and I mean no offense to them).

In the end, none of this will turn someone to Islam, unless they are trying desperately to hang on to hateful behavior and prejudice. I don't have the time or energy for either.

Do you feel this is a Muslim only site? As Brother Perseveranze said "Muslims are better than that."

This thread is about what the *average* American views Islam as. Do you know an average American or is it only those American's that make CNN and Fox? What about the American's who could care less about what a person believes and only cares about how a person acts towards them, as a person?

And what would you say to me? I'm not a Muslim yet I have Muslim brothers and sisters who tell me that I'm the most Muslim non-Muslim they know? We all participate in either breaking stereotypes or building them up and I think Sister Valerie's point is that how we ACT is far more important then what name we carry.

are you doubting somebody's Islam?? :astag: fear Allaah and never ever doubt another person's Islam!!! she is a sister in Islam and just because her name is not supposedly a "Muslim" name which is sometime Arabic name btw does not MEAN she is NOT a Muslim!!!! May Allah forgive you for your mistake, but PLEASE apologize to the sister for what you stated. Who are you actually pointing fingers at?? innocent American who some of them were actually against the war on Iraq?? who support Muslims on a humanitarian level? who would not hate you just because you have a Muslim name? who would respect your believes even though they are foreign to them?
