I was watching a report on CNN recently who gave a breakdown of the American population and how their religions rated. The Muslims were about 1%...we were outranked by the Christians by a long shot and the Jews were more plentiful as well. No worries, we are the fastest growing religion in the West according to the same report.

I think it would be a very inaccurate number - you'd need a big range, because I'm sure there are many brothers and sisters who are unable to be public and open about being Muslim. But not only is it fastest growing in the world, it's fastest growing in the US out of any other Western country.

:salam2: Masha'Allah by any number America has a lot of Muslims. You are certain to find a Muslims anywhere you go for the most part. Most of them are very practicing. We have brothers from India Pakistan, Palestine, Bangladesh, Philippines, Korea, Afghanistan and we have people who are Americans who converted to Islam. Masha'Allah these people are wonderful Muslims. Then we have some people who are... I have had the misfortune of meeting some people who told me their parents were Muslims and we saw so and so in our family who used to pray like that.

Overall we all Muslims get along together without any major problems. We smile and wish salaams to each other but really I think we can do a little bit better.
