HOW TO CELEBRATE MOTHER’S DAY EVERYDAY?
The Holy Qur’an gives special recognition to the mother’s suffering in bearing and nursing her child:
Luqman, 31:14
And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination
It should be obvious that our parents deserve our utmost respect and devotion - second only to God.
Al-Israa’ : 17:23
And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.
Hadith
"O Allah's Apostle! Who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me?" The Prophet said, "Your mother." The man said. "Who is next?" The Prophet said, "Your mother." The man further said, "Who is next?" The Prophet said, "Your mother." The man asked for the fourth time, "Who is next?" The Prophet said, "Your father. "
- Sahih Bukhari
Anas bin Malik narrated:
The Prophet was asked about the great sins He said, "They are:--
(1 ) To join others in worship with Allah,
(2) To be undutiful to one's parents.
(3) To kill a person (which Allah has forbidden to kill) (i.e. to commit the crime of murdering).
(4) And to give a false witness."
- Sahih Bukhari
Now coming back to the topic of discussion, how do we celebrate mother’s day and father’s daily? Someone said that mother’s day should be celebrated daily not once in a year.
Very simple, every muslim can “celebrate” mother’s day and father’s day at least 5 times a day i.e. by making a du’a for his/her parents after every fard salat
What is the best du’a?
The best du’a is the du’a that Allah teaches us in the Glorious Qur’an. Some of the du’a in the Qur’an for our parents:
Surah Ibrahim: 14:41
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
"Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established."
Surah Nuh: 71-28:
"My Lord! Forgive me, and my parents, and him who enters my home as a believer, and all the believing men and women. And to the wrong-doers grant You no increase but destruction!"
How to supplicate if parents are still non-believers?
As regards the ruling of supplicating to Allaah to guide your family, then this is permissible. Indeed, it is confirmed that the Prophet supplicated to Allaah to guide the non-Muslims, and he supplicated for the tribe of Daws.
He said: "O Allaah! Guide the tribe of Daws and bring them forward to me as Muslims." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim] Furthermore, the mother of Abu Hurayrah was a disbeliever and she refused to become a Muslim and said bad things about the Prophet however, the Prophet supplicated to Allaah to guide her and she became a Muslim.

Therefore, reverts can still supplicate for their parents but should restricted to asking Allah to guide them into Islam. If they have demised as non believer, then we should stop supplicating.
