Im very sorry I havent written sooner but this computer is set up for the French language so usually it takes me so long to write something that I find I just have time to send email.

The family I am here visiting are so wonderful and warm giving people. I am being taken care of very well. They live very near to the mosque so every day I hear the Adhan live instead of on my computer at home. For me this is something so special because you can never hear this in my country. Also the woman I am staying with is teaching me the correct way to perform salat which is very important to me.

I havent taken shahada yet but I am learning more Arabic and teaching English at the same time. I am so happy to be here in this beautiful country with these beautiful people. I have felt a bit out of place when I go outside because the people in the street look at me as if I am an alien from another planet but my friend told me its only because this is a small town so they are not used to seeing someone like me here.

All in all this is an experience that I wouldnt have missed for anything in the world and I am so happy that I came.

I think a brother asked above about your purpose of your travell? What do you want from your trip, is it only for the shahada? Or do you just in search for a life changing experience?

I'm just curious, because anyone could do the shahada anywhere. Inshallah, you have a excellent experience and it's also good that you're on the right path.

Al hamdolilah I am glad you get to feel happy and confortable after that long trip. Insha allah you learn alot from this experience. if you get more days here try visiting more big cities where you may not feel as a stranger for its citizens have a good stay here.

As-Salamo Alaikome everyone!

Today is the day I begin my journey to Morocco and I will be there tomorrow. My flight leaves tonight from Chicago in the USA and I will be on an airplane for more than 12 hours when I arrive in Amsterdam then change planes to continue my journey finally arriving in Morocco tomorrow.

I feel so nervous, scared, excited and very very happy! Please remember me in your prayers and ask Allah to watch over me on this incredible journey.

I will keep you updated on exactly when I make my shahada!!!! :tti_sister:

I saw this thread late. So please accept this belated congratulations on your journey to Jannah. Sister I am so proud of you. Every step you take for sake of Allah gives you great reward, and to travel such a long distance is definetly loaded with rewards.
