Allahu Akbar....Akhee GP the idea of this thread is not good for husbands  . I feel sorry and pity for my brothers who are married. Now the sisters (I mean the wives) will start running their own husbands once they have got this idea of running mosques ...
It will be a tough time :SMILY346: for you guys.
I hope the brothers will ultimately settle for a compromise with their wives :shake:

Assalamu alaykum,

:angryblue: Hey, we women like to organize and there is nothing wrong with that. I think it will be cool to have sisters run the mosques, it will look beautiful. And I can change light bulb. You know with women that mosque will not be clean environment. Imagined the mosques without sisters. dirt bathroom, dirt and smell rungs, etc. . Brothers, can not beat us, join us.

It is called commitment which you make when you get married. I am sure you are going to tells about how it feeling havi\e the fun it is having you wife running you. SMILY288:justing kdding.:

'Aishah reports that the Prophet
saaws-long.gif
ordered that mosques be built in residential areas and that they be cleaned and perfumed. This is related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, at-Tirmizhi, Ibn Majah, and Ibn Hibban with a good chain. Abu Dawud's wording is: "He ordered us to build the mosques in the residential areas, to build them well, and to purify them. 'Abdullah would burn incense when 'Umar would sit on the pulpit."

Anas reports that the Prophet
saaws-long.gif
said: "The rewards of my ummah were placed before me, even for removing a speck of dust from the mosque." This is related by Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Khuzaimah who calls it sahih.

YOU GO GIRL FIGHT FOR THE WOMEN SIDE!!!!!
DON'T LET THE MEN MESS US AROUND!!!
KEEP IT UP, GOOD TO SEE SOME SISTERS LIKE THAT.
See that's what mens are afraid of WOMEN POWER!!![/COLOR]

I can think of few things as well,

1. Jumuah Khutbah will be centred on RIGHTS OF SISTERS and DUTIES OF BROTHERS towards the sisters.

2. A portion of Surah An-Nisa is to be recited in atleast one rakaah of Fajr, Maghrib and Isha

3. More and more talks will be about such topics,

a) Men should wear loose-fit clothes
b) Men need to keep a beard
c) Men need to keep their pants/jeans above their ankles

EEEWWWWWW, i totally disagree with u on this one!

I honestly without offending anyone dont think men should wear their pants above the ankles, it should be long enough to cover ones ankle.

Sister as much as I know keeping the pants/jeans or whatever a man wears as a lower garment, above ankles is a Sunnah, please some knowledgeble bruv/sis correct me if I am wrong... I found this hadith,
"Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection, at that man who lets his lower garment below the ankles out of arrogance."

Man there are a lot of things that need to be changed in the mosque. In Churches women run the show and its is amazing how organized it is. Things I would change.

1. All dinners, bbqs, potlucks would be banned unless the men decide to do all the cooking.
2. Open up a nursery so mothers could actually relax at the mosque.
3. Provide leaflets at the door telling exactly what's going on ie prayer, dua, announcements etc
4. Start a muslim welcome wagon.
5. Mail out community news to women who can't make it to the mosque.
6. Have the library always open and a bookstore..take books to shut-ins.
7. Put change tables in the washrooms.
8. Have women speakers on a constant basis.
9. Have a place for kids to play instead of running around the prayer area.
10. Have constant open houses and not just damage control info sessions.

I could go on all day!

Haha, well, actually, I know some women at the mosque that are more conservative and no-nonsense, get-things-done-right, than most of the men are. But some of those don't seem to be such bad ideas lol.
