If we cant eat pig, why are they here?

The Quran wants man to use their intellect and go out in the world and search, research, experiment, use reasoning. For example, "The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the Spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the Spider's house; if they but knew" (29:41). How would we know? By studying it! Reflecting on it. It's the same concept.

FYI, nowhere in the Quran does it say that pigs are unclean creatures! It is in fact mentioned in the Bible, and not in the Quran. So, please do not embarrass yourself. The Creator of the Universe Has forbidden pork, and that's it. If someone wants more explanation then you can explain to him/her from logical and scientific viewpoints. But please do not say that pigs are unclean and that's why their meats are forbidden! No, this may not be the reason.

Brother/sister I think you misunderstood me. Basically all modern evidence points to the fact that pigs are infact one of the dirtiest and unhealthy animals on the earth. I diden't intend to draw the conclusion that it was *only* forbidden because it was unclean, I only said that was the most logical and probable answer that was probably not known back then. I'm not sure how wrongly thinking that uncleanness was the only reason could embarres me though?

just ignore the ignorance...because they will try every possible ways to deny ALLAH command
ignorance job is to ignore all the forbidden things...
so this pig, pork issue is part of ALLAH testing as to whether we muslim could obey or not...well it might be there is a link of incidents to the other prophet that lead to the forbidden of pork in islam...which i believe not only the pig is dirty but other than that...

but the scientific prove was right though...all the forbidden things in islam leads to not only to muslim specifically but to all human goods...and it is scientificly proven....anyway the point is eat the healthy food that is provided...end of the story!

When i read the story about Prophet Noah, it stated that once the flood had gone all his followers including animals left from Prophet Noah's ark, the ark was so dirty and full of animal's *!*!*!*!s. there was no pig animal at that time but later pigs appeared (by Allah Will) to cleance all the *!*!*!*!s in that ark by eating it greedily.
Pig is not the only animal totally 'haraam' from muslim but there are other animals too, the different is only muslim can touch them but not pig. (Surah Al-Ma'edah/Ayaat 4.

its bn in my mind for quite long time already, i cant recall on which books of the story of the prophets i read. to check it back the library in my parent's home is impossible as their hse is no longer exist. pls just leave it if u doubt. for the other animals, i just gave the name of the surah/ayaat, u just refer to it if u dont mind as it's quite long.

Also, I didnt know we could wear pig leather??!! :shymuslima1:

I thought the whole animal was haraam. In fact, in Singapore, they label shoes that use pig leather with "Pig Lining" to warn muslim customers. And, we've all been taught since young how to recognise pig leather...the 3 dots in a triangle thingamajigg.

A test to us and those people too, anyone for a pig, please go ahead. It is a test from Allah.

I think next time when they find a verse or verses stating not to eat stone, or snake someone will start finding reason to consume it too. So the life goes on and on and on.
