I live in England, am a student and do a part time job in a super market as a checkout assistant. as it is common alcohol and haraam meet is sold in the super market, The job is very critical:muslim_child: for me as it is my only life line and currently as conditions are bad i cant find any other job, is it alright for me to work over there, i also inquired from the imam of the local masjid and he informed that there is a fatwa in here which allows you to work places like these. please advice.

Actually, in the Qur'an, it never directly said that cigarretes are harram. That is because ciggaretes were'nt invented then. But the Qur'an never needs to be changed, for when Allah sent it, He knows that they would be invented, and many other bad thigs as well. So He said, In Surah Bakarah, ( I remembered this when I read it, but it's not in exact words, but I just simplified it, and it means the same thing) "Do not flourish yourself with what will harm, or cause harm for you" And scientificly, it has be proven many times, that ciggaretes are very bad for your health.
