Is there anything wrong with being a fashion model?

I think you would need to obtain a fatwa from a scholar on this matter.
I would tell you the obvious though. If the clothes are haram (ie not covering awrah properly or designed specifically to attract attention of opposite sex), then modeling or wearing them would be prohibited too.
But you need to consult a shaykh who can issue or relate a fatwa to you.

,generally being male model today means having unusual hairstyle, attracting girls,western-oriented clothes.
but it depends on ur situation which you know better than us.

however i was thinking of starting a salafi men's saloon with services like hair cut head massage and things like perfume, miswak and all. i think it would be popular because there is demand for such halal things but the supply and service is short.

salam 'alikum brother,I don't think that being a fashion model could be halal for our Ummah.imagine yourself wearing clothes in front of your stylist who maybe is a woman!a muslim's duty is that of remembering Allah with prayer,good actions,Dawah,not being a model for fashion clothes...let you do that work to someone else who isn't interested to the Otherlife and save your body from others' sight!so as the muslim woman must be pudic,even more must be the muslim man a good example for his brothers and sisters in Islam.ps:don't get angry with me,I made a consideration,but each one is free to do what he wishes

:salam2: being a model is not halal. The reason being you have to change clothes in a fashion show in front of men and woman. And sometimes you r completely naked in front of them. second if you want to get a portfolio done you need to have pictures in underwear to show your body. There might be a shot in which a woman is on top of you or you on top of her etc. All this is haram.
