Assalamualakum Brother's and sister's

Well i am a young person in his teenager years that likes to play video games but doesnt let it get in the way of prayer or anything that has to do with Islam (Cant say that always for school though lol).

So i have this game system that i can download games right to it without really paying for them. Millions of people do it and i actually seen a post here a while ago with a person giving someone a code or something so they dont have to pay for a antivirus(the thread was about a guy's computer with a virus and he needed help). Also there's books posted here and dont books also cost money?

Im pretty lost on this i want to be doing the right thing

I also watch movies online too with my friends and family. Is this also considered Haram?

Sharing codes and keys etc is not very moral. I'd say, it's stealing since you are using the software without paying for it! Quite straight forward, you see.

If you put effort and time in creating anything new say some software or application etc., it'd hurt if someone uses it without paying you for it. The same logic applies here.

Brother, there ae always Halal alternatives if we really look for them. (Right path tends to be tougher most often. )
