The Qur'aan, a book unlike any other, has the ability to guide one to a life full of happiness and peace, which will eventually lead to eternal victory and bliss. It is the Qur'aan which forms a path that has clear landmarks and pure sources that build every excellent value and establishes greatest civilisations that is adorned with blossoming edifice, fruitful bounties and perpetual good. It is an oral book that sounds better spoken than read silently, but it is an oral book that is also a scripture. More evocative in recitation than in writing, the Qur'aan is only fully the Qur'aan when it is recited. To hear the Qur'aan recited is unlike anything else. It is to experience the power of divine revelation as a shattering voice from the Unseen. It moves, it glides, it soars, it sings. It is in this world, yet not of it.

The book that shook the world is a one day conference dedicated to the speech of Allaah, the Qur’aan. A gathering with world renowned speakers and famous Qurraa' dedicating themselves to discuss, explore, contemplate and to recite the Qur’aan. This conference has the potential to change the face of da’wah forever, instilling the love of the Qur’aan in the hearts and souls of all attendees.

Join us on this epic journey to study and listen to the recitation of the Qur'aan; tangible signs and verses which are expressive of an inexhaustible truth, signifying meaning layered within meaning, light upon light, miracle after miracle. The Muslim ummah cannot earn the quality of the best community which Allaah describes except holding fast onto the Book of Allaah with resoluteness and having determined submission to everything it brings.

That's excellent. I wish I was in the UK for this. :)

I wonder how people are going to be there from 10 am to 8 pm. They are going to get pretty exhausted.

Wa 'alaykkumus salaam wa rahmatullaah. The conference is going to be pretty flexible, in terms of how much people can move around. Stalls etc will be available in both brothers and sisters section, so you could go on a shopping spree if you wanted to *smile*

About the Organisation...

UK-IC is an organisation which aims to provide conferences throughout the UK exposing the general masses to the correct sources and understanding of Islam in order to increase their level of faith, enlighten their hearts, enrich their minds and ultimately transform them in becoming exemplary Muslims who will follow the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

This will be achieved by organising and facilitating educational programs such as conferences, knowledge intensives and other similar activities, enabling the Muslims to connect with the religious sources as understood by the scholars of Islam. Conferences will promote the understanding of Islam through the Divine Revelations and the Prophetic Traditions. It would also endorse the proper understanding of religious sources in avoiding following human whims and desires often leading to extremism, moderation and intolerance

To summarise the key Aims of UKIC are:

1. To provide authentic Islamic knowledge and direction to the UK Muslim community.

2. To revive the propagation of authentic orthodox Islam to the Muslims and non Muslims of the UK alike.

3. To make this knowledge and the renowned people of knowledge accessible throughout the UK with convenience.

4. To establish and network the Muslim community with each other throughout the entire UK and be a source of unity for the Muslims.

5. Alongside all of these aims, UKIC aims to establish an orphanage, which will be the first of its kind providing housing, education and much more to the orphans. [Orphanage Mission]
