Is this true?

Assalaamu'alaykum

I have a question please of someone can provide an answer with evidence. Basically, I know of a sister who is pregnant and soon expecting. She said that when a woman goes through labour, and makes du'aa during this time, then the du'aa is answered. So all these other sisters are asking her to make du'aa for them for specific things when she goes through labour. I too want to ask her myself, but I haven't yet because I have not heard of any evidence for this. I tried to research on this, but have not found any information based on Qur'aan and Sunnah. All I know is that when a Muslim lady goes through contractions, then Allaah expiates some of her sins. I didn't ask her for evidence because I was shy, so I'm asking here. Is this true?

Jazakumullaahu Khayran.

:salam2: To asking fellow brother to do dua is sunnah. prophet(sw) request others to make dua for him.

And When person is sick then there are chances that his/her dua will be accepted.

To request the patient to make dua as the dua’s of the sick are readily accepted. (Baihaqi)

A sick person’s dua is like that of the angels (Ibn Majah)

A pregnant woman is patient. So asking her for doing dua isnt wrong. But it should be known that there isnt anything specific about being pregnant. It should be make clear.

and Allah knows best.

Wa 'alaykkumus salaam wa rahmatullaah. I found this hadeeth, and remembered this thread. Here is the hadeeth...

The Prophet, salaallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, A Muslim who is killed in a battle is a martyr, (dying in) plague is artyrdom, a woman who dies while delivering a baby is a martyr. [Ahmad, Daarimee, Tiyaalisee, authenticated by Al-Albaanee]

The Prophet, salaallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, The martyrs are seven, other than the one who is killed in the Way of Allaah, ta`aalaa:
– One who dies of plague,
- one who drowns,
- one who dies of pleurisy,
- one who dies of stomach ache,
- one who dies due to burning
- one who dies under a demolition (by accident)
- a woman who dies with a baby in her womb

[Maalik, Aboo Dawood, An-Nasaaee, Ibn Maajah, Ibn Hibban, Haakim, Ahmad. Authenticated by al-Albaanee]

The Prophet, salaallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said:

- “Getting killed in the Path of Allaah ta`aalaa is martyrdom,
- [death in] confinement during childbirth is martyrdom,
- [death by] getting burned [by accident] is martyrdom,
- [death by] drowning [by accident] is martyrdom,
- [death due to] tuberculosis is martyrdom,
- [death due to] stomach ache is martyrdom.”

[Tabaraanee, Ahmad, authenticated by al-Albaanee]
