Umm Zubayr
:salam2:

Allah the most Merciful with His servants has permitted uncountable pure things in types and kinds. because of this He did not go into details mentioning the permissible things since they are so many and innumerable. He only made mention of the forbidden things because they are countable so that we will know them and thus keep away from them. so He says:

'He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you except under complusion of necessity' surah al an'aam:119

as for the lawful things, He stated them in comprehensive terms as long as they are pure. He says:

'OO mankind, eat of what is on the earth; lawful and good' surah al-Baqarah:168

His mercy allows the origin of things to be lawful unless proved otherwise. this is out of His generosity and enrichement of His servants, so we should obey, praise Him and be grateful to Him. When forbidden things are counted or read out in detail some people's mind become unable to accede with the Sharee'ah legal ruling. it is evident that people who succomb to desires , people of weak minds or those with little knowledge become impatient and grumble when they hear forbidden things mentionned. they'd say something like: 'everything is forbidden, you have forbidden everything, and have made life miserable for us'.
religion is easy but the issue is vast. Allah is oft forgiving, most Merciful.
Do these people intend to have all the kinds of lawful things counted for them to show the simplicity of religion? do they want the types of pure things to be listed out for them as to have peace of mind that the Sharee'ah does not soil their livings? do they want to be told that slaughterd camel's meat, cow, sheep, hare, gazelles, goats, fowls, pigeons, duck, sheep, ostrich are lawful and that the dead locust, fish, vegetables, legumes, fruits, and all kinds of seeds and benefitial fruits, water, milk, honey, oil, geese, salt, spices, seasoing, the use of wood, sand, stones, plastics, glasses, rubber, riding on horses, car, trains, planes, ships, the use of air conditioners, fridges, washing machines, dryers, bakers, squeezers and that all other medical & engineering equipment, mathematical, stronomical, building, decoration ,printing and calculators are lawful? and that the wearing of cotton linen, wool, fur, hairs skin of lawful animals are lawful? do you think that we can exhaust the list even if we continue to count & enumerate? why is it that these group of people refuse to comprehend things?

regarding the argument that religion is easy, that is a truthful word, intended for evil purpose. the meaning of 'easiness' in this religion is not that it goes in accordance with the whims of individuals and their views. it only goes in line with that which the Sharee'ah comes forth with. there is a great difference between violation of unlawful things by arguing falsely that religion is simple (of course ity is without doubt) and by capitalizing on the exuses given by the Sharree'ah such as: combining prayers and shortening it while on a journey, rubbing on the socks, dry abulution (tayammun) .....

in addition to what is already mentinned, it is necessary for a Muslim to know that there is wisdom behind the forbidding of unlawful things wisdom behind the forbidding of unlawful things which is Allah's trial of His slaves as to determine their work; to differenciate between companions going to Paradise and those going to Hell. was it not for this test, the obediant would not be distinct from the disobediant. the faithful people look at the difficulties in the assingnements with the intention of receiving Allah's reward and implementing His command so as to gain His pleasure. subsequently, the hardship becomes easy for them while the hypocrites look at the hardship as pain and deprivation so the pressure becomes greater on them and obediance more difficult to implement.
