KABA" - The House of ALLAH in Makkah. The KABA is covered by a black cloth known as 'Kiswa' , which is produced & changed every year. Special factory is designed for the making of kiswa in Makkah. It cost apprxm SR 17million. The cloth is made of 670kgs of silver & dyed black. About 120kgs of pure gold & 50kgs of silver is used in writing the Quranic verses over the cloth. The total area of the cloth is 658sqr m.

Jazakallahu Khair for the info.
But dont you think its a bit(i think a lot) expensive!...its for what?to make Allah SWT happy or to decorate and shjow to the ppl..or for what?
Allah SWT will not look into our spending/amount of sadaqa or anything by amount. He will look for the Ikhlas on it....Allah SWT doesnt like aristrocracy/spending so much money in decorating the house of Allah(not even in case of Masjids!)....he loves modesty and he'll look for the piety.

May Allah SWT guide us all
