And know that islamic knowledge is anything that comes from the sahabah, as one of the scholar of islaam, Baqiyyah ibn al-Waleed said: Al-Awza'ee (d.157H) said to me, "O Baqiyyah! Do not mention any of the Companions of your Prophet except with good. O Baqiyyah! Knowledge is what comes from the Companions of Muhammad (SAW), and whatever does not come from them is not knowledge."
