I think so I will leave this forum and before I do anything it is also good to give a reason for a Muslim does nothing without reason and does not follow his own nafs or misuses any authority vested in him in any way.

the reason is a post made by one admin sister by the name of a_muslimah86.

though I did feel a little bad about it the main reason is the lack of knowledge and hidden bias in her post.

Considering we're about 17 days away from *Ramadhan*..you know..that *one* month in the year..called "The Month of The Qura'an"..where worship rewards are multiplied..and people are encouraged to commit to what pleases Allah?!!!

I think we should set aside the "name this figure" trivia..and just go dust-off the Qura'an and flip through its pages a bit..or listen to a lecture or two about the virtues of the current Sha'aban days or the upcoming Ramadhan ones..so Allah may have mercy on us!

On the day of Judgment you wont be asked whether or not you recognized Hasan Al-Banna or Al-Khomeini (ESPECIALLY..the man known as..Al-Khomeini!!!!!!!)...instead..you will be asked about all this time being wasted!!!..so fear Allah over your nafs..and run after an act that will give you benefit in the dunya and the akhirah!

Also TipuSultan..if a thread is closed once..that doesn't mean you can create another as an off-shoot "justified" version..please go read the forum rules..the decisions of moderators here are final..so when they're made..please pick up a small heap of respect and grant it towards that decision..that's all we ask of you while you stay here as a member!..Thank you & Jazaka Allah khair!

yes I know this very well sister.for me Islam and ramzan are very dear.

I think we should set aside the "name this figure" trivia.

it might be trivia for you but many of them if not all of them are great heroes of Islam.many are shaheed and it is not bad or time waste to know about them and their sacrifices. for Allah says Read and gain knowledge.
but many scholars and people just think that reading Quran without understanding meaning is fine.
one scholar so called scholar says read allhamduillah so many times and you will be rewarded this much, that much.they all seem to understand Islam very narrowly like you sister who thinks if I just read Quran it is enough.
for indeed Quran is the word of Allah but Allah also says to understand it and it is no way wrong but in fact sawab(good deeds) to know about the heroes of Islam like sheik Hassan Al banna and Syed Qutb and Sheik Nusri, brother Malcolm X. CAN you be equal to them for you I dont know but certainly I cannot but will atleast try and remember their sacrifices for Islam.

and just go dust-off the Qura'an and flip through its pages a bit..or listen to a lecture or two about the virtues of the current Sha'aban days or the upcoming Ramadhan ones..so Allah may have mercy on us!

don't assume that there is dust on the pages of my Quran. though I don't read Quran everyday.I am reading towards understanding Quran-i don't want to show off that I am a great scholar but I atleast try to understand what Allah is saying.
for what I have understood is that Islam is not about going in a cave with a copy of Quran and only reading Quran and nazam.Islam is the only practical religion in the world that does not differenciate between spritual and world life.both supplement each other.
also brothers and sisters come here and make posts, some funny, some about what is going on in their life's so why target me?

On the day of Judgment you wont be asked whether or not you recognized Hasan Al-Banna or Al-Khomeini (ESPECIALLY..the man known as..Al-Khomeini!!!!!!!)...instead..you will be asked about all this time being wasted!!!..so fear Allah over your nafs..and run after an act that will give you benefit in the dunya and the akhirah!

I will be, I can atleast say to Allah that I read about your loved slaves instead of doing research on Angelia Julie and Bradd Pitt.I recommend you also being a student of International Relations/Political Science to read about them.
coming to Ayotallah Khomeni I respect him as a person if not his beliefs, standing against that fake Saddam for so many years and to declare fatwa against salman rushdie when that so called modern kings of arabs were trying their best to please americans.

when you address a brother you dont even have courtsey to say brother but that is left upto you O scholar of Islam.
after this post I think you will ask other admins to ban me so I am saying Allah hafiz to all my brothers and sisters in this forum and will never come again.
for in Hazrath Umar's time every governor and officer was responsible for their acts-
I can say this because I read his biography and see how he implemented Islam instead of just reading Quran without understanding a word :)my advice to all brothers who dont understand arabic please read it with translation and also commentory.
and yes sister discuss more about aqeedah's.lol f0r this was how Spain was lost.

finally I have nothing against you and still you are a sister In Islam but only one advice next time when you close a thread think about the authority in your hands and excersie that authority with the fear of Allah in your mind.

I am sorry to say that the way sister muslimah86 wrote her post is utterly disrespectfull. NOT because of that i was coordinating with TipuSultan but its in general that TTI moderators are losing temper it seems.

Sister, please dont consider yourself as an authority to dictate what should we do and what not. If you dont have interest in history then its not like that no other person is interested in that. We learn lessons from History and dont we go back in time to leearn islam and research about it? e.g. about Salaf Saliheen? Its just that we like other aspect of history.

Please recite as much Quran as you want sister but dont force others to do what you like or what you think is beneficial for them.

Here is the thread created by brother al-Kashmiri which asks us to be respectfull when addressing opposite gender

i think moderators here are doing a very good job, they are doing it voluntarily and taking a lot of their time and responsibility to moderate this forum, i really have respect for all the moderators out there, if my 100 threads are closed and i am told the reason why, i won't mind it.. they have their rules and reasons.
so brother tipusultan, don't be angry , it is just normal. we are here to learn and gain knowledge about Islam. it should not be like one thread closed and you are turning away. and i would be wise to ask moderators about the issue rather than posting a new thread..

Brother what happened to husn adh-dhann?! What kind of thought is that to hold about our sister? Obviously you know nothing of us mods if you think we behave and think this way.

finally I have nothing against you and still you are a sister In Islam but only one advice next time when you close a thread think about the authority in your hands and excersie that authority with the fear of Allah in your mind.

A bit ironic akhi. If you're sincere in this, you should've posted this to her privately as oppose to making it a public affair. Brother Gernada, the same applies to your post.

This is not a matter that requires one, two or even three threads. So please, let's move on and forget about this. One post shouldn't upset you and cause you to leave.

Dear brother Alkashmiri,

thanks for your clarification. But can you answer me what if some one who is not a moderator , has addressed any moderator sister like this?

Would you have answered the same way like you have done now? Keep ALLAH as your witness brother

you are calling it a little issue as asking us to move on. What about that Hadith where it is said that Eezza-e-Muslim (to hurt a muslim) is HARAM?

Its not about closing of a thread but its about the way reply was written by her. Moderators are supposed to lead by example.

@ thread starter..

I think the moderator sister is right in her actions. What benefit does it give you or me by identifying names of maybe 13 or 14 individuals on a banner ?

You call them heroes or 'shaheed', yet you didn't even know most of their names. How do you know if they were actually heroes or complete zeroes ? ( Khomeini didn't even consider us to be 'muslim' btw )

We have biographies of our pious salaf on this webforum. Are their names and biographies not worth being read and learned ?

Biographies of the Companions of the Prophet

Biographies of Important Islamic Figures of the Past and Present

As the mod sister has mentioned, there are few days remaining for Ramadaan. It is time for us to devise a schedule and a plan to make ibaadah in this blessed month. Rather than spend our time naming certain personalities who we are unsure of.

I am disappointed at the way you have openly criticized our mods here. Their service on this forum is a privilege for us, the least we can do is to be thankful and respect their decisions.

Alhamdulilah,

I felt the thread was closed for bias(Allah knows best) also for me all muslims whatever aqeedah or school they follow is my brother.
I am just a muslim and will never ever classify myself with any school or call myself anything but a muslim only

If we want to be rightly guided, we have to take authentic knowledge, from authentic scholars. And it is for us, for our best, for what benefits us.
So it is like Rasool -salallahu alayhi wa sallam- said:

The example of guidance and knowledge with which, Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil, absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rainwater and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink from it and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which, could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion and gets benefit (from the knowledge), which Allah has revealed through me (the Prophet) and learns and then teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah's guidance revealed through me (He is like that barren land.)" [Sahih Al-Bukhari v.1 no.79. Narrated by Abu Musa]

It was reported from ‘Awf ibn Maalik who said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“The Jews were divided into seventy-one sects, one of which is in Paradise and seventy are in the Fire. The Christians were divided into seventy-two sects, seventy-one of which are in the Fire and one is in Paradise. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, my Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two will be in the Fire.” It was said, O Messenger of Allaah, who are they? He said, “Al-Jamaa’ah.”
Sunan Ibn Maajah, no. 3982.

Now we want Jannah, inshaAllah, and we have two take the right way inshaAllah. Everyone is going to answer for his deeds, the persons that you mentioned, the sahabas, the ulama and the general people, EVERYONE.
Now we want to make choices in this journey, and we have to stay in the right path.
If the moderators, see something wrong they delete it.
Sometimes they can be a little "harsh" but that does not mean that we decide to leave or to think they biasim or that they are against me, NO.
It doesn't work in this way.
We must have SABR, in learning Islam (learneing it from rightly guided Ulama), in puting it into practice, in calling others in Islam, and sabr in the difficulties that come out in this journey.

Question:
I would be very grateful if you could advise me on the fundamental differences between the main sects of Islam, although I know that originally Islam was a unified religion.
Thankyou.

Answer: http://www.turntoislam.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19921

It is not my intention to hurt or insult anyone, my intention inshaAllah is to give a sincere and right answer for the sake of Allah.
May Allah forgive us for our errors and our faults, and show us the right path and act upon Islam till we die.
Salam alaykum

where are we getting with this discussion my brothers and sisters?
is it increasing our ilm?
isn't this discussion creating more and more misunderstanding?
are we displaying the manners of beloved prophet Mohammad Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him?
arent we arrogant in forgiving each other?
are we forgiving our brothers and sisters ?
this website has been geared to enlighten us not to "ignite" us

brother as i said I have nothing against any one here for all r verily my brothers and sisters.
now I dont even think that thread was closed because of any bias towards me or my aqeedah for I will always call myself a Muslim as the Prophet and the Sahaba's did. but this is not the right place to discuss that.

what I felt bad was that thread was in Islamic Lounge a place where we can discuss anything and what we were discussing was about Islamic personalities and the thread was just closed and the I was made to realise that I will be answerable to Allah for it and did a sin. i thought that was against the spirit of Islam where people in authority can do anything without giving proper reason.

there is no point in keeping this thread open I feel as it is creating differences betwwen muslims. mods can close this thread and open that thread.
the reason to close this thread can be given as it is creating misunderstanding among brothers-just a sugesstion which I can keep for myself :)
