legends of Islam

Saddam Hussein :D

I see him as a major part of our ummah, and when the smoke clears he will go down in history as a legend.

Well that should do a good job of starting some controversy :/

Paki Idol

Defender of Islam
Sultan Muhammad Al Fateh ( The conqueror of Istanbul). His intelligence, brilliance and bravery suprised the Europeans. He conquered Istanbul after tough resistance from the Byzantinians and in the way he conqured Istanbul seems amazing.

Saifadin_Qutuz

Nemesis of Decadence
Those are the best after the Prophet in about 200 yrs +

- Haroun Al Rasheed

- Abdullah Almamoun
- Nurredin Ibn Emadadin Zanki
- Almalik Alnasir Salahadin Yusuf Ibn Ayub
-Sultan Mohammed II
-Sultan Suleyman the magnificent

- Saifadin Qutuz :D

And last but not least, Al malik alzahir Rukn Aldin Baibars.

Observe:

His Strategy:

I must say that he was brilliant. Having been able to strike much larger armies and victor using superior planning and all.. He also was able to make desicive moves and he always choose correct and outsmarted the others. He was able to hold long enough to hide away from the kings that were hunting him and still made them confused and they never got him. He knew how and when to strike causing the most dmage possoble, and choosing the path..An example on his power is when facing and defeating the mongols at Ain Jalut.

His Tactics:

He was Magnificent!! Never in ONE battle did he not out manauver his enemies. He either lured them and cut them down..and also used to lay booby traps. Once with a 100 men was able to defeat the bigger force of king Loius IX and capture him alive. He used his sorroundings well and used to study them very carefully. He also placed his men carefully. And he proved that by defeating Hulagu's army lead by Ketbuga.

Use of Available Resources:

Having lived most of his time wondering from place to place...He used his sorrounding resources well. Such as being able to live and all his men had enough of what they needed despite them being cut off. He used his mind very well and seized what he can..

Flexibility:

He was very flexible. One proof is how he used to hide away from the bigger armies and evade the other hostile kings that surrounded him. And for ten yrs he was able to twist and turn away from them and they never knew what happened of him..

Morale and respect of his troops:

He was loved by his men and troops. They used to go and hide with him all over the place. They hid and suffered with him, and helped him until he reigned. They knew that they could simply go away and swear alligence to someone else as they were not 100% his troops, but given to him, but still..they stayed.

Overall impact on military history:

I must say that he wasnt very much remembered. He was quite obscure but when finding more about him u can see that he deserves a better place. He might be better know in some places. I am sure that every military and history interested person will find this figure interesting. People only need a wider view. To the peoplewho know him, he is magnificent..but still, most people dont know of him...he is like the hidden hero that saved Islam from notable fierce enemies.. but alas, not many know..:angryred:
