I didn't say ALL shi'as are not Muslim, I said SOME are not Muslim because they worship 'Ali radhi Allahu 'anhu. I personally know a shi'a girl who was once my friend until she started cursing 'Umar, Abu Bakr and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them). So don't tell me I don't know when I do.

Shia did not worship Saidina Ali they just adore him.Saidina Ali was one of the best of best warrior during Prophet Muhammad s.a.w time.Saidina Ali even made a sword named Zulfikar that later he gave it to Our prophet Muhammad s.a.w

About your friend cursing of our prophet companion Saidina 'Umar,Saidina Abu Bakr and Saidina Uthman of course is wrong and considered a great Sin. Allah swt in the holy Qur'an , (48:29) paised the companions, and Allah swt praised them in other verses as well
but that does not make her a kafir!

Some Shia had been twisted with their understanding and knowledge about the prophet's companion at the early years so it was an issues of big misunderstanding! But not all Shia has the concept that what your friend have other that are more knowledgeable and wise.

Then again;
there are also munafiqin that pretended to be muslim but they are not and their intention to cause chaos among us muslims!(Sunnah ,Shia e.t.c)

Remember read the qur'an:Allah swt forbid calling other people kafir when they had call themselve muslim,
because
Only Allah swt Knows best.

Here in bahrain,in the shia community the husband sends his wife to his religious leader aka imam or whatever to spend the first night with him.They say it's for "baraka".Does this sound like islamic to you?

As kakorot said it's not about differences in opinions it's about differences in beliefs.You need to do more research on shia beliefs.

Why would he look into his father's religion? What relevance did that have? I mean, why would he want to join the religion of the math that threw him a way basically?

Kind of sort of created an empire so in his head that had no bearing.

Of course, though maybe Steve Jobs was said to be an ass for this reason? I mean, he wasn't said to be the nicest man in the world. He basically denied his first kid. I think his adoption had something to do with this.....

Just my theory though.

Steve Jobs the philanthropist? He made sure to close any philanthropy Apple did, even when it was making billions. This was one of the criticisms about Apple and Jobs himself. - Perhaps it will change now that Jobs is dead. - Although, it could possibly be that he did charity in total secrecy.

As for his biological father, the immoral Arab loser who had kids out of wedlock, runs a casino, and would want to worm his way anywhere to make money. Why do people want associate him with "Islam"? Its a bit pathetic for people to go trawling the fact his father ( a man steve jobs never met or spoke to) was a Syrian "Muslim".

In the name of Allah, I love all my brothers and sisters in Islam including you ukthi.

With great respect to you ukthi, I advise you to read more on Shia.. not all Shia can be considered Muslim. Recently a friend of mine, who is Shia supporter did not celebrate Eid when the whole country was celebrating. Why? He came out with a fatwa of "fifth imam" - guess who? He was fasting on the day we celebrate Eid, although he is just my neighbour. We are Islamic country and Eid determine by the Head of State and the govt, but he was fasting. He does a lot of things contradicts the basic teaching of Islam... I don't want to elaborate.. it can lead into backbiting then. Shia are dangerous. In my country, there are Shia coming here as students and for businesses, but they take advantage in propagating their belief, one of their bait is "muta'ah marriage", which was since forbidden in Islam. Why are they propagating something has been forbidden? Today, we have number of inauthentic hadith, mostly are from Shia quoting on the authority of Ali r.a. Why are they doing this? We love Ali r.a more than they do, at least we don't misused his name to create fake hadiths.

With the help of US, Shia gaining grounds in Iraq, Syria and now they are revolting in Bahrain where they are majority. Lubnan is as good as their stronghold.

I've friend from Isfahan, everytime I e-mail him I addressed him as "brother", he will reply without calling me brother... not even once. I wonder why?

Just like you.. I want to call them my brothers and sisters.. but I think you can't confirm they are Muslim based on things are doing today except Zaidiyyah in Yemen.

Brother, so far I have not come across a Shia (here at our place) though I've encountered with one Shia some time ago. Yeah, talking to that person just makes your heart boils and you actually feel sad for them for being too far away from the real teaching of Prophet Muhammad :saw2:. Well I know that some Iranians (not all, though) that come to pursue study here are Shia. I guess the situation regarding the Shia is worse than I thought around here?

Anyways, I do not think that the purpose of this thread was to discuss about Shia. Besides that, its better not to focus or talk too much about Steve Jobs, since he had passed away and instead, we should focus more on other important issues/matters such as Islamic knowledge or issues happening within the Ummah, inshaAllah.

They should report this fraud religious leader to the authority.
He is making use of religion to cheat on those helpless and young people.
But brother,
It happened with other religions too like the fake medium sami preying on his innocent victim or priest (read news) of some church,some jews priest did it too. here, Shia is not exceptional afterall they have a very big community but because they are Shia altogether people are blaming on Shia but these are actually to be seen as an individual human error and their failure to understand the good moral of humanity!

The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like that of the moon over the rest of the stars. Verily the scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. Surely the Prophets do not leave behind to be inherited dinaar nor dirham (money).
Verily they only leave behind knowledge to be inherited, so whoever takes it has taken hold of a great prosperity.”
