Asallam alaikum,
I converted last year when I married my husband...now that is another story!
I was a pagan, not an idolater. When I was a child there were no families nearby. So, I talked and played with the plants and trees. I could feel that there was something there that talked to me.
I was brought up a Christian but found it and it's proponents to be unaware. They did not see that God is in everything. I thought that being a pagan, where there is an awareness of the divine in all of creation was the answer but instead I found egos fighting to be in control. and arrogantly thinking they were in control when we all know different!
I stumbled upon this site while looking for the newmuslimproject as listed on the latest CD to help my with the language.
This is my first Ramadan and I am very happy.
Masha Allah for Ramadan.
Please excuse my spelling.
