have you ever thought about what the world would be like without islam? I'm not talking about a world without the muslims that is often shown by the news media, i mean the world without true muslims. for starters, europe would have never come out of the dark ages, advancements in the study of astronomy, science, and mathematics would have never taken place; but most importantly man would’ve been living life without proper guidance.
for a long time man was living a misguided life, there seemed to be no hope for us until.... a man from mecca, named muhammad received his first revelation from the angel Jibril at mt. hira in what is current day saudi arabia. these revelations, would not only give hope and guidance to mankind, but became the perfect instruction for man to redeem himself before his creator. truly, a mercy for mankind.
our beloved prophet muhammad ( pbuh ) was a mercy to mankind, because he showed the people the falsehood of worshipping idols, making partners with Allah swt, he taught us to do things that pleased Allah swt, he received the greatest text ever put together; the holy Qur'an. but the gift that Allah swt gave our beloved prophet muhammad ( pbuh ) didn’t stop there. Muhammad's ( pbuh ) sunnah ( way ) was another mercy for mankind as well. the sunnah is another deep well of knowledge and wisdom that no man or woman would have ever been able to bring to us. in it in conjunction with the Qur'an has the ability to properly teach man how to live a life pleasing to Allah swt, giving man an opportunity to enter jannah; a destination which may have been impossible to reach without this knowledge.
this knowledge, is more valuable than any other knowledge on the planet. it doesn’t mean anything to have the riches of this dunya, if you are living a life that will not allow you entrance to jannah, but rather to the entrance of jahanaam ( hell ). we as muslims, know the greatness of our beloved prophet, but many people do not. why? because there are evil people in our major media sources that want us to believe the lie that muhammad ( pbuh ) only caused suffering and misery to the world. we muslims must defend him! we have an obligation to prove them wrong. I'm tired of the attacks against him, so i have devoted my time and energy to defending him.
we can tell how good something is by it’s fruit. how can islam be bad? if people are required to:
pray 5 times a day.
give in charity.
to be kind to others.
to take good care of our wives.
refrain from drugs and alcohol.
fast.
refrain from adultery.
be kind to their parents.
the list can go on forever.
how many muslims have appeared on Cops? how many are on the news for committing rape or murder? how many muslim drug dealers do you see? almost never. why? because islam bears great fruit with the sweetest of nectars. imagine where we would be at as a people if this mercy had never been given to us. I'm too scared to imagine it.
