thank you for sharing this, may Allah reward you, it is beneficial to understand the importance of dhikr.

Do i think wrong if sometimes i dont even want to know any reward ? I think when you do dhikr out of love and fear for Allah, not thinking about this gains, it is even more pure because you dont even know these rewards but you praise Allah with the best intention.

wassalamu alaikkum,

I do not know if it is wrong. But, reward is something that encourages us to good deeds and also, hasten us to do more. Reward need not be just something that is tangible, Allah's mercy and forgiveness is a reward as well. So, there is nothing wrong in intending for reward from Allah for Akhirah especially. Moreover, it also makes us feel dependant on Allah and humbles us. Allahu A'lam.

yes dear brother, is good, alhamdullilah we are muslims and we do all for pleasure of Allah.

what i was thinking is this...if i try teach a little child to do dhikr and i tell him/her about certain rewards,
i have a small fear that the child will learn to say Subhanallah wa bihamdihi thinking about the palm trees to be planted for him in Paradise not because he thinks sincerely Allah is far removed of imperfection and He should be praised, just an example...about this i was fearing, may Allah forgive me if i say something wrong, i just try improve me deen and do it sincerely, inchallah.
may Allah hear our good intentions.

the concept behind the reward is of course to achieve the pleasure of Allah to get the Jannah as reward and the refuge from the hell fire.
Our faith/Eeman is based on two wings: Fear and Love of Allah azza wa jal, without one our belief is not balanced, otherwise there was no difference between us an Christianity.

However, it also indicates that, what used please Allah azza wa jal more than 14 hundreds years ago, still pleases Allah.
we know, actually we have been declaired about the way of gaining Allah's pleasure,by Allah himself and our beloved Prophet Muhammad salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam.

yet we roam around other peoples' preference or choice about what we are not sure about.
like a husband is saying, should i give my wife a bunch of yellow rose, last time when i gave her, she was happy, does it still make her happy?

now I am not saying, the thought of a husband about his wife or giving his wife the things what she likes, is not good or something, it is not only recommended but actually every husband should think like that and try to make her happy and the same way opposite for wife towards husband.

the concept i am mentioning here: is that we are sure and we are being told by Allah and his messenger about gaining His pleasure, subhan Allah.
we have been prescribed everything, just we have to put us on the frame of that.

remembrance of Allah is not always depending on: how many numbers we are counting or how formally we do it (traditional)
we can do it whenever we want, and when we are doing anything bad or sinful act, if we recall the punishment of Allah, the Fear of Allah, it is also dhikr/remembrance of Allah. the consciousness of Allah.

I've got your full concept sister Hajjer, just to cut short or give you a clear view: we know the reward of Five time prayers, yet we pray, but we have always opportunity to do more voluntary prayers. so those dhikr and their rewards are tradition of Rasul Allah salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam, thus they came with the mentioning of reward.

i hope sister you understood, i just tried to make you understand
to have a clear view, i can so far recommend you, at least now, the Kitab ul adab (book of manners) in sahih al Bukhari (Bukhari Hadeeth collection) and its explanation, as far i can recall now.

i read your explanation dear brother, thank you for giving time and effort in it, may Allah reward you. I understand it is sunnah and tradition of our Prophet, peace be upon him, on one part and this
remembrance of Allah is not always depending on: how many numbers we are counting or how formally we do it (traditional)
we can do it whenever we want, and when we are doing anything bad or sinful act, if we recall the punishment of Allah, the Fear of Allah, it is also dhikr/remembrance of Allah. the consciousness of Allah.
on the other part, alhamdullilah.

I hope you understood that i know and i am aware of the importance of dhikr and i put my best in it, Allah knows, like i hope you understood my fear of not doing it automatically but doing it out of pure love and respect. I am usually honest alhamdullilah and Allah is the first that deserves my honesty, so i want to teach my self and my future kids if i will have, inchallah, to put the heart in dhikr, first and only after to know about the list of rewards.

I have listened lectures where imams speek about having a present heart in prayer, because when we do things as habbit, it becomes this, habbit. Allah knows i dont want to be habbit, but to be honest submission. To pray like is my last prayer and to remember Allah always, inchallah.
Thank you once again.

may Allah help us achieve His love.
