wa aleikum salam
thank you for sharing this, may Allah reward you, it is beneficial to understand the importance of dhikr.
Do i think wrong if sometimes i dont even want to know any reward ? I think when you do dhikr out of love and fear for Allah, not thinking about this gains, it is even more pure because you dont even know these rewards but you praise Allah with the best intention.
:salam2:
as salam 'alaykum warahamtu-llah
the concept behind the reward is of course to achieve the pleasure of Allah to get the Jannah as reward and the refuge from the hell fire.
Our faith/Eeman is based on two wings: Fear and Love of Allah azza wa jal, without one our belief is not balanced, otherwise there was no difference between us an Christianity.
However, it also indicates that, what used please Allah azza wa jal more than 14 hundreds years ago, still pleases Allah.
we know, actually we have been declaired about the way of gaining Allah's pleasure,by Allah himself and our beloved Prophet Muhammad salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam.
yet we roam around other peoples' preference or choice about what we are not sure about.
like a husband is saying, should i give my wife a bunch of yellow rose, last time when i gave her, she was happy, does it still make her happy?
now I am not saying, the thought of a husband about his wife or giving his wife the things what she likes, is not good or something, it is not only recommended but actually every husband should think like that and try to make her happy and the same way opposite for wife towards husband.
the concept i am mentioning here: is that we are sure and we are being told by Allah and his messenger about gaining His pleasure, subhan Allah.
we have been prescribed everything, just we have to put us on the frame of that.
remembrance of Allah is not always depending on: how many numbers we are counting or how formally we do it (traditional)
we can do it whenever we want, and when we are doing anything bad or sinful act, if we recall the punishment of Allah, the Fear of Allah, it is also dhikr/remembrance of Allah. the consciousness of Allah.
I've got your full concept sister Hajjer, just to cut short or give you a clear view: we know the reward of Five time prayers, yet we pray, but we have always opportunity to do more voluntary prayers. so those dhikr and their rewards are tradition of Rasul Allah salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam, thus they came with the mentioning of reward.
i hope sister you understood, i just tried to make you understand
to have a clear view, i can so far recommend you, at least now, the Kitab ul adab (book of manners) in sahih al Bukhari (Bukhari Hadeeth collection) and its explanation, as far i can recall now.
barakAllahu feekum
wassalam
