How can we understand the strength of Israel in the context the approach of the onset of the Hour?

Question:
The prophet(saw)said that the signs would come very quickly, also that he was the beginning of those signs...what is happening right now? how is it possible that israel is so powerfull on earth?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

The portents of the Hour are not all of the same degree, rather some of them are minor and some are major. The major signs are those which, when the first one appears, the others will follow like beads falling from a broken string. But with regard to the minor signs, there is a long period of time between the first and the last of them. The sending of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was one of the minor signs of the Hour, not one of the major portents.

It was narrated that Anas said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I and the Hour have been sent like these two.” He said, And he held up his index and middle fingers together.

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6139; Muslim, 2951.

Al-Qurtubi said:

The first of the portents of the Hours is the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), because he is the Prophet of the end of time. He has been sent and there will be no Prophet between him and the Resurrection.

Al-Tadhkirah, p. 111

With regard to the strength of Israel (the Jewish state), this is something that has happened to them by the will and decree of Allaah.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Indignity is put over them wherever they may be, except when under a covenant (of protection) from Allaah, and from men”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:112]

Allaah has given them power and respite, but that is only so that when He does seize them, He will seize them severely.

It was narrated that Abu Moosa (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Allaah gives respite to the wrongdoer until, when He seizes him, He does not let him go.” Then he recited (interpretation of the meaning):

“Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful (and) severe”

[Hood 11:102]

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4409; Muslim, 2583.

At the time of the Mahdi and when ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) comes down, the Muslims’ victory over the Jews will be complete.

It is proven (in the hadeeth) then when the leader of the Muslims, the Mahdi will come to lead them in praying Fajr, ‘Eesa ibn Maryam will come down to them, and the imam will step back so that ‘Eesa can come forward and lead the prayer, but ‘Eesa will put his hand on his back and say, “Go forward and lead the prayer, for the iqaamah was given for you.” So their imam will lead them in prayer, and when he has finished, then ‘Eesa will head towards the Dajjaal, with whom will be seventy thousand Jews. When the Dajjaal looks at him, he will melt like salt in water, and the Messiah ‘Eesa (peace be upon him) will catch up with him at the gate of Lod (which is a town near Jerusalem) and kill him. Then Allaah will cause the defeat the Jews, and there will be nothing that Allaah has created that a Jew hides behind, but Allaah will cause that thing to speak. Rocks, trees, walls and animals will all say, ‘O Muslim, O slave of Allaah, here is a Jew, come and kill him!’ – except for the box-thorn tree (al-gharqad), for it is one of their trees and will not speak.”

If the Muslims want to defeat the Jews and all kaafirs, they have to turn back to Allaah and support His religion until Allaah grants them victory, for the Jews are too insignificant for words, but they took advantage of the fact that the Muslims have turned away from their religion.

We ask Allaah to being the Muslims back to their religion and help them follow it properly.

And Allaah knows best.

The lesser and greater signs of the Day of Resurrection

Question:
What are the lesser and greater signs of the Day of Resurrection?.

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

The signs and portents of the Day of Resurrection are the things that will happen before the Resurrection takes place and will indicate that it is close at hand. They have been divided into lesser and greater signs. The lesser signs, for the most part, will occur a long time before the Resurrection begins. Some of them have happened and ended – although they may be repeated – and some of them have appeared and are ongoing, and some have not yet happened, but they will happen as the truthful one (the Prophet) (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has told us.

The major signs are serious matters, the appearance of which will indicate that the Day of Resurrection is at hand and that there is only a short time until that great Day comes.

The lesser signs of the Hour are many, and are mentioned in many saheeh ahaadeeth. We will list them together without quoting the ahaadeeth, because there is not enough room to do so here. We will provide references to trustworthy books on the topic for those who wish to know more about this matter and the evidence for these signs. These include al-Qiyaamah al-Sughra by Shaykh ‘Umar Sulaymaan al-Ashqar [this book is available in English translation under the title The Minor Resurrection, published by International Islamic Publishing House, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia] and Ashraat al-Saa’ah by Shaykh Yoosuf al-Waabil.

The lesser signs of the Hour include the following:

1. The sending of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)

2. The death of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

3. The conquest of Jerusalem.

4. The plague of Amwaas (Emmaus), which is a city in Palestine.

5. Widespread wealth and lack of need for charity.

6. The appearance of fitan (tribulations). Among the tribulations that occurred in the early years of Islam were: the killing of ‘Uthmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him), the battle of the camel and the battle of Siffeen, the emergence of the Khawaarij, the battle of al-Harrah, and the opinion that the Qur’aan is a creation.

7. The emergence of claimants to Prophethood, such as the liar Musaylimah and al-Aswad al-‘Anasi.

8. The appearance of fire in the Hijaaz, which appeared in the middle of the 7th century AH, in 654 AH. This was a great fire, which the scholars who were alive at the time of its appearance and those who came after them described in great detail. Al-Nawawi said: There appeared in our time a fire in Madeenah, in the year six hundred and fifty-four. It was a very great fire on the eastern side of Madeenah, beyond the Harrah, and knowledge of it was widespread throughout Syria and all lands. Those of the people of Madeenah who were present told me about it.

9. Loss of trust. One of the manifestations of loss of trust is people’s affairs being entrusted to those who are not qualified or able for that.

10. The taking away of knowledge and the prevalence of ignorance; the taking away of knowledge will occur with the disappearance of the scholars, as it says in al-Saheehayn.

11. The spread of zina (adultery, fornication)

12. The spread of riba (usury, interest)

13. The prevalence of musical instruments.

14. Widespread drinking of alcohol.

15. Shepherds competing in the construction of tall buildings.

16. A slave woman giving birth to her mistress, as is stated in al-Saheehayn. There are several views among the scholars as to what this means. The view favoured by Ibn Hajar is that there will be widespread disobedience among children, so that a child will treat his mother as a master treats his slave woman, with negligence and insults.

17. Widespread killing.

18. Widespread earthquakes.

19. Appearance of landslides, transformations and stones from heaven.

20. Appearance of women who are clothed yet naked.

21. Believer’s dreams coming true.

22. Widespread giving of false testimony and concealment of true testimony.

23. Large numbers of women.

24. The land of the Arabs becoming once again meadows and rivers.

25. The Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold.

26. Wild animals and inanimate objects will speak to people.

27. The “Romans” will increase in number and fight the Muslims.

28. The conquest of Constantinople.

The major portents of the Hour are those which were mentioned by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in the hadeeth of Hudhayfah ibn Aseed, and there are ten signs: The Dajjaal; the descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary); Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj (Gog and Magog); three landslides, one in the east, one in the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula; the smoke; the rising of the sun from its place of setting; the Beast; and the fire which will drive the people to their place of gathering. These signs will appear one after another, and when the first of these signs appear, the others will come soon after.

Muslim narrated that Hudhayfah ibn Aseed al-Ghifaari (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out to us when we were discussing. He said: “What are you discussing?” They said: “We are talking about the Hour.” He said: “It will never begin until you see ten signs before it.” He mentioned the smoke, the Dajjaal, the Beast, the rising of the sun from its place of setting, the descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, and three landslides, one in the east, one in the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula, and the last of that is a fire which will emerge from Yemen and drive the people to their place of gathering.

There is no saheeh text which states the order in which these signs will occur, rather the order of some of them is to be understood from the context of the texts.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked:

Will the major portents of the Hour occur in a certain order?

He replied:

The order of some of the major portents is known, and in the case of others the order is not known. Among those whose order is known are the descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam, the emergence of Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, and the Dajjaal, for the Dajjaal will be sent, then ‘Eesa ibn Maryam will come down and kill him, then Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj will emerge.

Al-Safareeni (may Allaah have mercy on him) listed the order of these portents in his ‘Aqeedah, but some of the order is acceptable whilst some of it is not. But what matters is that there are major signs of the Hour and when they happen, the Hour has drawn nigh. Allaah has decreed portents of the Hour, because it is a serious event and people need to know when it is about to happen. End quote.

* The Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold for which people will
fight over (the river of Alfurat that lies near Syria);

This prophecy is also mentioned in Bible in book of revelations that Euphrates will be tied up and people will fight over it.

I just read on a news paper that some companies are investing heavily in TURKEY to search for gold in the Euphrates and places around it.The war that will be fought for this gold will be just prior to another

great war which will be fought between Muslims and the Kaffirs in which 1/3 will be martyred their ranks would be equal to sahabas of badr 1/3 would be victorious they would be saved from fitnah for all life and 1/3 would turn their backs and their repentance would never be accepted.

there is another one that ARABS WOULD BUILD TALL BUILDINGS

I DIDNT UNDERSTAND THIS ONE

21. Believer’s dreams coming true.

what does it mean?

Asalam alaikom wa Rachamn t'ullah wa burrahktoh,

I InshAllah, will contact a very good brother tomorrow who was telling me about a believers dreams coming true. Apparently it is a sign or blessing from Allah for those of us who live in the days without the physical presence of a messenger or prophet. Because we will need to have something 'tangible' to remind us of the truth and to fortify us, Allah has granted the blessing of giving believers dreams that are prophetic and come true (I believe it is called !/46th of prophethood)

InshAllah, and Allah knows best.

If at all possible I will endeavour to provide 'proofs' from hadiths etc... tomorrow.

Jazak alak ghairun

Asalam alaikom wa Rachman t'ullah wa Burrahktoh
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Our Brother has provided me with this information to share about the sign of dreams and the significance of them inshAllah. So I say jazak alak ghairun to him. :)

As-Salaamu aleikum wa rahmat Allah wa barakatahu
Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
Allahuma Salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi ajma'een wa sallim

The Prophet (pbuh) said:

True dreams are one of the forty-six parts of Prophethood.

The truthfulness of the dream is related to the sincerity of the dreamer. Those who have the most truthful dreams are those who are the most truthful in speech.

All that will remain of prophecy after me will be the true dream.

The Prophethood and its effects will be far away in time, so the believers will be given some compensation in the form of dreams which will bring them some good news or will help them to be patient and steadfast in their faith

When the time draws near (when the Resurrection is near) a believer's dream can hardly be false. And the truest vision will be of one who is himself the most truthful in speech, for the vision of a Muslim is the forty-fifth part of Prophecy, and dreams are of three types: One, a good dream which is a sort of good tidings from God; the evil dream which causes pain and is from Satan; and the third one is a suggestion of one's own mind; so if any one of you sees a dream which he does not like he should stand up and offer prayer and he should not relate it to people

The best of all dreams are the ones where you see your Lord, or your Prophet, or your Muslim parents.
