My Father

Salam alai kum warahmatulahi wabarakhatahu

Dear brothers and sisters,

I hope Inshallah you are all in the very best of health.

Some of you may remember me from the days when I was an active member of this forum, however it has been a long time now that I have been able to sign in and contribute and share what little knowledge I have of Islam.

The main reason for my disappearance has been due to the ill health of my dear father who has always been in and out of hospital. It has now come to the point where the doctors have conveyed to my family that he now has a very slim chance of survival.

The beauty of Islam brings me to you to ask all of you to make dua for my father that if Allah wills for him to pull through this terrible and tiring ordeal that Allah Subhannawatallah cures him of his illness's Inshallah Ameen.

If Allah decides otherwise I pray that he forgives him for any wrong doing and has mercy on his soul and makes the transition into the next life easy for him Inshallah.

If anyone has any advice of what I can read for him on his dying bed please let me know. I know Sura Yaseen helps and we do also encourage him to say the Shahada although he is too weak to repeat after me.

So brothers and sisters please pray for my father and me and my family to be strong through all of this, as I have never experienced loosing someone so dear and close to me.

My sweet brother may Allah subhana talla in His Wisdom give you and yours strenght and peace.

Insha'Allah this family of yours will make dua. Please be so kind as to let us know and keep us informed. I ask this from a selfish perspective. You will allow us to be rewarded from Allah subhana talla.

Each word of the Holy Quran contains a blessing. Each time we utter the word Allah subhana talla it is a blessing.

I do not know how to say this but thank you for reminding us that we are a part of your family, too.

May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala give you and your family patience, perseverence and great reward for this trial you are all going through.

May Allah ta'ala make this test easy for your father and grant him his pleasure and forgiveness.

I understand it is a very painful situation, but stay strong and trust Allah. He knows what you are all going through. Ask for Allah's help and pleasure.

Every verse of Quran is the word of Allah so whatever you recite on him is good.

I have been through similar situation and lost a very young brother who was 19 and just over 2 years older than me.

He also suffered for over 1 year and then passed away. May Allah ta'ala grant him the highest place in HIS presence. Ameen

So, I know it is not easy, but remember that this world is a temporary abode.

Stay in touch when you can.

May the help and mercy of Allah be with you, your father and your family. Ameen

I understand ur situation, i feel u brother. its not easy to lose someone soo close, but still we will all die one day. i Ask Allah to health him and if he should pass away may Allah Grant him the highest place in jannah..

Subhanallah i know exactly what you are going through, my father is going through the same thing, the doctors have given their word.... but i have full trust in Allah aza wa jal. Its very hard to see them suffer, may allah give them shifa ameen.

All i can suggest is spend enough quality time with him and give him what ever he asks for insha allah.

The duas and prayers i recite for my father are these... hope they help you too. May Allah make it easy for you and your family and give you all sabr ameen.

Allah decided it was time for my father to leave this Dunya, Alhamdulilah he is now able to rest in peace Inshallah.

Is there any obedience to parents left that I can show to them after their death?'' He (PBUH) replied, "Yes, to pray for them, to supplicate for their forgiveness, to fulfill their promises after their death, to maintain the ties of kinship which cannot be maintained except through them, and honour their friends.''
