My Niqab...pls advice!

palestine

Servant of Allah
Asalamu alaykum wrwb. my niqab has arrived and even before i told my mom about it, she firmly said no. and warned me not to wear it. i have not told my father as i am afraid of the same response. i have become helpless in this situation and feel that i won't be able to wear my niqab. my whole family in general is against it. and they see it as *just sunnah*, where as i believe that is Fard and that it should be warn although i would never force anyone to wear it. i wanna wear my niqab as to get close to Allah and as to try and fulfill every small detail of my deen. i dont' know what to do. i have prayed istikhara and am waiting for Allah's response. however i have become spiritually weak and am going insane. i just don't even want to try anything anymore. i feel cornered and outnumbered. the place i thought i'd get support is my family...and oh well, i was wrong once again.:)
asalamu alaykum wrwb, anxiously awaiting your replies.
enjoy this nasheed as well.:)

JazakAllahu khayran sister Aisha. i know that it will be immensley difficult...but because i remember the much more things that the sahabah went through, i'm willing to face any risks and obstacles. Either way i will be a winner whether i'm harassed, killed, or alive...becuase either way...i love the niqab and for Allah's sake. inshaAllah.
jazakAllahu khayran for your input.:) and don't you remember yourself...when i told you i wanted to wear it and you told me that you had a dream of me wearing it.:) i still remember.:)

May Allah guide you to the right path and make it easier for you. Ameen. i will remember you in my duas. InshAllah

are there other muslim sisters in your area who wear niqab? if yes, then seek their opinion on this issue.

"If Allah helps you none can overcome you, and if He forsakes you, who is there, after Him, that can help you. And in Allah (alone) let believers put their trust." (Qur'an, 3:160)

"And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him. He will make a way for him to get out (from) every (difficulty), and He will provide him from
(sources) he could never imagine." (Qur'an, 65:2-3)
