    Interestingly,all the members of bahrain human rights are shia. All bahraini staff of the british embassy in bahrain is shia. Those who get scholarships to study in the west are all shia. The shia themselves have prohibited any sunni from getting scholarships to study abroad. Still they complain. They want only one thing. A state based on Wilayatul Faqih just like in iran.

    ^ When the majority of the population is Shia, I'd guess majority of the people in different positions would also be Shia.

    That being said, I had a Sunni friend from Bahrain studying engineering at my uni back in 2006. We'd hang out after Jummah now and then in a group of friends. (End of conspiracy theory).
