Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters.
This is the first time I write in this forum even though I've been visiting and reading it for a while. I find it very interesting and useful especially for reverts like my wife, but also for born-muslims like me who need much to learn from reading and listening to our brothers and sisters.
I wanted here to give an advice to all born-muslims like me. It is something that worked and works for me and I'm sure it will in a way or another for everyone here:
LISTEN AND READ WHAT OUR REVERT BROTHERS AND SISTERS SAY. DO NOT PATRONIZE THEM. DO NOT THINK YOU KNOW BETTER THAN THEM. WE HAVE A LOT TO LEARN FROM THEM AS THEY ARE COMPLETELY FREE FROM THE MIXING THAT HAPPENED TO MUSLIMS BETWEEN ISLAM AND ANCIENT LOCAL TRADITIONS.
May Allah help us all to be better muslims inshallah.
