Yesterday i wanted to visit a sick relative that worked as a captain for decades. He told me things that i felt he was really affected cummulatively by a secular media he was subjected to !
He said that
- Every religion say it's the truth.
- He wants us not to tell christians you are kuffar=polytheists !
- He disagree with growing beard while doing sins
- He say that we shouldn't say that apostates must be executed in islam and this is another era !
- He said that salaf followers are freezed at the third century.

I want answers to explain the situation clearly and please make duaa' for me and him that Allah guide us to the truth , forgive us , help us to give us commiting sins and to make some difficult issues easy and to cure him.

This statement is false...no religion except Islam says its the ONLY truth, complete and only acceptable religion in the sight of God.
On the other hand In Bible Jesus(pbuh) himself said that its incomplete and some one else is going to complete the teachings...
I have yet many thing to say but you cant bear them now...

Anyone who has not studied the religion will surely say this. Even for the sake of argument if we accept this then too there is contradiction among what is written in scriptures of other religion and the acts of the followers. No religion ever says that you should worship multiple God or make idol. How can a a person who is disobeying the words of his scriptures can claim to be true. Second thing- in almost all religions even the name of Last Prophet :saw: is mentioned so what about following him???

NO RELIGION EXCEPT ISLAM SAYS THIS DAY WE HAVE PERFECTED YOUR RELIGION AND CHOSEN FOR YOU ISLAM.

Want to explain this with an example.......suppose you are standing on a mountain cliff and one child while playing reaches upto the corner and will fall ... are you going to stop him/warn him/save him or not???

Same is with Muslims they are Daee it is the duty of each and every Muslim to pass the message of truth!!

Quran 103:1. By time, 2. Indeed, mankind is in loss, 3. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

both are two different things if anyone is doing one wrong thing that does not give him the license to leave other sunnat.

Quran 33:36
It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.

Judaism and Christianity are man made names.
Allah sobhanaho have sent Moses, Jesus & Mohammed PBUThem all with Islam, but different books (Sharia), & I expect the differences are few.
The way of revealing the books were different. I think the books before the Holy Quran sent at once from Allah to His messengers. The Holy Quran had been sent through 23 years, and this is a big advantage for Muslims to keep the words of Allah in the chests of the believers.

Christians also always say he is the only way..

and what about last 2 points and that islamic rules are no longer valid ?

Akhee, if you mean that he does not want us to say that Christians are kuffaar or disbelievers because their religion is on the truth, then this is connected to the first sentence "Every religion is on the truth"

This is very dangerous for a person to believe in and you should ask him to repent. The person who believes that there is any other religion acceptable along with Islaam is a Kaafir and is out of the fold of Islaam. This is one of the nullifiers of Islaam. And one of the basic principles of belief in Islam is that we must believe that every Jew, Christian or other person who does not enter Islam is a kaafir.

“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islaam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:85].

Thus anyone who believes that other religions are true, or that christians, jews, hindus etc are not Kuffaar... are indeed apostates.

We hope that Allaah will forgive this brother due to his ignorance, but you should make sure to tell him to change this distorted opinion of his.

1) It is waajib to grow the beard.

2) No one is free from sinning, and if it was the case that one shouldn't grow the beard while being a sinner... then the Messenger of Allaah :saw2: would have this mentioned to us. Alhamdulillaah this Sharee`ah has been completed 1400 years ago.

3) Not growing a beard actually increases the amount of sins (as shaving it is haraam), so it only makes it worse for the person.

4) For people to go around dis-agreeing with matters of Islaam without knowledge is wrong. This is not some sort of joke, this knowledge is the deen of Allaah

There is Ijmaa` (agreement of scholars) upon the fact that the apostate is to be executed, in Islaam. If the Qur'aan was only applicable at the time of the Prophet :saw2: or at the time of the Sahaabah, then Allaah or His Messenger :saw2: would have mentioned it to us. The person who claims this, is no authority to come around after 1400 years and say that the rulings of the Qur'aan and Sunnah only apply to the time of the Prophet :saw2: and not now.

Why because they stick to the words of Allaah and His Messenger :saw2:?

It is quite sad to see people get all these weird modernistic views.

But in all honesty, I would really talk to this brother about his views on "other religions" before discussing anything else.
