Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuhu all all brothers and sisters.

Like most of you, I am a fervent listener to the recitation by Qaari Sheikh Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy. I frequently listen to his quran MP3 album which is available on his website : alafasy.tripod.com/

<Sorry, I don't have alot of posts so I can't link the website>

However, in some surahs, after the completed recitation, there is a short verse being said in arabic and I cannot understand what it means. An example would be in Surah 16 of the Quran, Chapter An-Nahl. There are some other surahs with the same thing being recited at the end.

Kindly help to download the surah from his website, and fast forward it to the ending few seconds, somewhere around 42mins 08 seconds. I would like to understand what is being said here. Thank you all. May Allah keep you in the best of health and reward you for your efforts. Ameen.

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuhu.

:salam2: Brother....

You mean to tell me that there is a whole WEBSITE of Sheikh Alafasy recitations? I think I just might love you! lol! Thank you sooooooooooo much! I love his recitations!

I have an idea what he might be saying but let me listen. While I won't be able to give you an exact translation, I know other's here will be able to.

EDIT:
I was incorrect in assuming that I knew what he might be saying, BUT, I did discover that the last words of that section you speack of are the same ones YOU yourself uttered: Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuhu

Assalaamu alaikum brother, correct me if I am wrong, but were you meaning to say that I had added the last few words myself? Maashaa Allah..I would never do that to the Book of Allah let alone the consequences! I ask Allah to forgive me if I had brought it across the wrongly.

I merely want to understand what it is being said in that different voice. And I cannot find its meaning and I seek the help of other arabic speaking brothers and sisters. For your information as well, that specific phrase can be found in other surahs as well from reciter Sheikh Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy. Example Surah Al-Baqarah, Ale-Imran, An-Nisa'.

All those who have tried thus far, I thank you for your efforts. May Allah reward you all with Jannah-Al-Firdaus. Ameen.

Assalaaumu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaathu.
