Outlining the Beard Allowed?

I have been growing my beard for 4 months now, praise be to Allah. The problem is, my beard looks quite scruffy and unattractive, and I was wondering if outlining the beard to make it look more presentable was allowed. I have searched everywhere but no Scholar or Sheikh seems to address this particular concern. I am afraid that lining the beard to have a "cleaner look" might be considered shaving the beard. Because the prophet said (I am paraphrasing) that we should trim the moustache and leave the beard to grow (ie. not cut, trim etc). However, as a muslim I must look good, presentable. Does anyone know the ruling concerning this issue or have you spoken to a sheikh about this?

Outlining the Beard Allowed/
The Beard Lenght By SYARIAH.

Beard is what grows in the face of the hairs found on the left and right side of the face that is connected with the hair on the head called sideburns and under the chin.

Order of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w (peace be upon him) clearly shows that should be left to grow bushy beards. Moreover, Prophet Muhammad (saw) and his Companions (ra) had a heavy beard and big.

There is no authentic hadith showing the Prophet (peace be upon him) to shorten his beard.
But
However, there is an authentic history of some particular friend,
Ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas and Abu Huraira (RA) showed that they did cut the beard of more than a handful.
There is also a history of scholar among the salaf did the same thing as an-Nakhai Ibrahim, Imam Malik and Ahmad (rh).

In Sahih al-Bukhari called, "When Ibn Umar (ra) Haj and Umrah, he would be grasping his beard, part of which is (from his grasp) cut."

Therefore, it can be understood that the beard is less than a handful of not fulfilling the purpose of the Sunnah.
Sadly, many among the clergy did not meet the conditions set by the salaf scholars associated with this beard.
They say these things trivial and less important.
Variety of reasons that we hear to avoid implementing the Sunnah is obligatory.
One of the arguments they are keeping beard is sunnah (customary) the 'Arab. This notion is contrary to what was decided by scholars salafus works of earlier generations of Islam.

It should also be remembered that the beard be kept and keep nicely groomed.
Do not be left too long beard and unkempt, as Muslims must look clean and neat as the image of Muslims must be maintained.

EXEMPTION

Islamic law is flexible and practical as taking into account all the factors around it. For those who have specific reasons such as medical-related needs have shaved the beard, the Islamic authority.

While under the control of an enemy of Islam and those who do wrong, if the beard is threatening the lives and safety, so he shaved sharia requires it.

The duty of keeping the beard is for those who have beards.
For those who are destined not to grow beards, they are exempt from this obligation.
A person may be sought to make 'rules' specific to grow his beard do make duá and May Allah swt give him beard.

~May Allah swt help and guide you~Amin!

Thank you for reading.
Take care,

Salam alaikum warahamtu-llah

masha Allah you are growing beard
at first I used to trim it upto half fist, but later, i left it to grow, but after a certain length it is not growing, I mean they turn around and get culred...he he

anyways, you'll find a lot opinions concerning this issue

to say in short:
It is Haram to shave beard
it is recommended that one should keep beard upto one fist
it is better if you leave it to grow, but it is permissible for one if long beard creating prob to someone, coz many people have got straight beard

and Allah knows the best
may Allah help us with our dresscode.
