Sister please know that dream interpretation is not in our hands it can be done by a Scholar who is learned in that matter who uses Qur`aan and Sunnah to interpret it.

Ibn sireen who was a famous interpreter of dreams sometimes took 2 days just to know if the dream was real. Usually our dreams are what we think mostly and of something we are concerned.

Interpretation of dreams is a noble field of knowledge and a valued work that nobody should practice except a person who fully grasps its principles. Imaam Maalik (may Allaah have mercy upon him) was asked: "Can anybody interpret dreams?" He said: "Is he playing with Prophethood? A dream constitutes one part of Prophethood, which cannot be played with."

Therefore, interpretation of dreams without knowledge is a very serious matter. Another danger explained by Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy upon him) when he was asked about Ibn Seereen's book on interpreting dreams, he said:

We do not recommend reading books on interpreting dreams whether written by Ibn Seereen or anybody else. That is because one does not know the difference between the interpretations of the same dream seen by two different people. Perhaps a man may interpret a dream in a way different from its true interpretation and it comes true as he interpreted, as mentioned in a Hadeeth that if a man interprets a dream, it will come true as he interpreted even if it was harmful. So, we warn people against attachment to the dreams' interpretations because they vary from one person to another.
