Please Help Me

Salam Alay Kum;
I m staying in Saudi Arabia. Now slowly slowly i started feeling that I dont know anything about Quran and Hadith. I only can read Quran but the thing is that i want to know what is exactly written in Quran and the history of Islam. Being a muslim if someoe is asking me any question about islam, i feel that i m a big zero.
I always pray to God that give me the right way to me and my family.

the beauty of Islam is that there is no age-limit. we can start it right now! no one here is perfect. we all are learning frm each other.

Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb sister what we have to realise is that if we should not just do self study so i would recommend that you join a sisters circle or classes because we as lay people cannot interpret the Qur'an and hadith how we think they are intepreted.

That is why the answer to your question has been answered i the Qur'an. Allah says "if you do not know then refer to those who know".. Those who know are scholars.

So sister join a sisters halaqa,classes,meetings etc and learn from learned people rather than trying to learn on yor own because Islam is so vast we would get lost and confused in trying to learn it by ourself.

Take it all slow ukhti..and make an order for what you learn...start with 'Aqeedah..and then go from there...because once you learn the correct 'aqeedah a lot of things will make sense to you from The Qura'an..The Sunnah..and major issues of fiqh...also it will make your iman solid..and your worship correct and thorough

There are a couple of links I think in this section (look at the sticky threads)...containing names of books recommended for reading..and another of books available for free download..I think you should take full advantage of the two sources..in addition to the various sections on TTI providing brief articles on many topics

May Allah bestow great knowledge and faith upon you..and count you amongst the wise and the successful of the dunya and the akhirah..Ameen

I guess you are a revert and thats the reason you are having difficulties in quran and the history of Islam.I am a revert and alhamdulilah i know the history and so on.Well sis it all comes from reading,watching and discussing.U cannot gain knowledge in overnight and it takes a lof of affort and time . There are plenty of books out there and even on tti and on internet.Read them ,watch islamic channel and discuss islam with religious and knowledgeable sisters. The more you are expose to islam,the more knowledge you will gain :).Studying Islam an endless jorney.

sister..mashallah! good to see you here..but sister, we all feel like that, we all are 0 in islam...
sister we no one are right!..sister plz have sabr (patience), and read quran, read hadiths, and pray to allah!..
i dont know what to say you more, as i am '0' in islam too..
