The anti muslim western scholors/ oreintalists funded by agencies of different western government and some private financiers have come together to do it again. This time, they have attempted to discredit and intentionally distort the message of Allah by publishing an Encyclopedia of Quran (EQ) a 3,779 page documents in 6 Vol containing hundreds of errors and erroneous interpretations in a scholarly guise.
The EQ has been published by Brill Academic Publishers, The Netherlands, which has a long history of publishing orientalist and anti muslim literature with the active support of anti- muslim lobbies of the western world.
The EQ has been written by orientalists and western scholors trained by the academy with a clear understanding that it is meant for western readers and for creating doubts in the mind of its muslim readers about the Book of Allah.
The editors and authors of EQ presuppose that the Quran has been written by Muhammad( SAW) who has borrowed heavily from various followers of other religion such as jews, christians, zorostrians, and manicheans. they promote the idea that the Quran is a redaction( a compilation of different authors) and it has been modified on different occasions. This is completely contrary to the belief of Muslim that Quran is the word of Allah and that He alone has taken upon Himself to ensure that it is preserved until the end of time.
One of these challenges is the intellectual onslaught by Western Orientalist scholars against our heritage. At first they attacked the Hadith literature and have a relative success in convincing many of our westernised Muslims that we should not rely on Hadith. And now the attack is against the Qur'an.
