Assalamu alaikum to all,
Well, I had a packet of prawns which I ended up giving to the cat, as I didn't know whether they were halal or not.
According to this site, it suggests that prawns are haram:

Prawns aren't fish, they're crustaceans, belonging to the order Decaboda and the sub-order Dendrobrachiata, like shrimps.

Prawns also eat the feces of other sea creatures and feast upon other dead prawns.
I won't be eating prawns.
